All Blood Stains Red
S T Mont Feb 2020
His laugh
at the hurt that came
from the toe of his boot
but more directly from the hate in his heart

The muffled cries
that came from those who have no voice
never did
never will
ring out

A dinner table
with silverware perfection
placed with little hidden secrecies
feast on the words
"All Blood Stains Red"

Human
S T Mont Jan 2020
How to stay the same while changing

How to be the calm and the chaos

How to adventure far while staying close to home

How to love

How to be loved

How to fear while remaining blissfully unafraid

How to feel while showing nothing at all

How to be human
S T Mont Jan 2020
A little boy looked up to the clouds
As the rain caressed his young face
Wishing for a shooting star
To appear during the day

For every one of his troubles
Seemed greater than the last
Yet for this young crusader
His worries would never last

He grew up to become the star
He hoped to see that day
That little impossible sign
That everything would be okay
Hope is key in the darkest of moments.

Childhood
S T Mont Jan 2020
I took one moment, to ponder in my mind
Of the childhood I had long left behind
The cast aside dreams of futures come
Only to leave my mind and body numb

Whatever happened to those sun-shined days?
The ones that overshadow most often grays?
The fields long left untrotted, not forgotten
What happened to my glory days?

When did time decide to make a line,
A simple line
One that marked my childhood from not?

How did it escape my sight unnoticed?
How did my foolish mind put that fact in the remotest,
Part of thought?

I yearn, oh do I yearn
What one looses, one did not deserve

I look outside, in this moment mine
And see a childhood gone
A poem for change that comes with age.
