Darkness washes over me
like the unrelenting tides.

As I struggle to rise above it
I open my mouth to cry for help.

But the darkness pours inside,
like water into a drowning man,
cutting off all hope of salvation.

The world rolls along like an antelope

with a tiger latched on at the hip,

Hungry with no thought of food.

So shy and little you seem
raging and violent you are
a huge ball in constant motion
what a noisy star you are
yet so small and peaceful to gaze at
so shiny and beautiful you make the sky

Dear Winter

Dear Winter,
Depressing Summer is knocking at the doors,
After a long spell of rejuvenating cold,
After a long period of motivating zephyrs,
After a long refuge under warm quilts.
But I will wait for bubbly rains,
But I will wait for earthly fragrance,
But I will wait for walking flooded roads,
Wait I will, till the Sister Rain take the reins !!
Summer is about to come after long winters, and the poet who finds them depressing shows his indomitable spirit with a hope for Rains to follow.

Stars shine tonight
To reflect the beams in your eyes
Wind blows nice and easy
Just as if taking a breath
While we kissed
Goodnight to you
And I'm sorry we
Can't change anything.

you said
"goodnight, for now"
and i was foolish enough
to believe that 'for now'
meant you'd stay.

happiness
like a thief
in the night
my happiness
was stolen
and never
returned
Are we the ones, it got me thinking
Are we the ones, buried and sinking
Are we the ones, happy and singing

This generation, we are the ones
Making a difference, are we the ones?
We have a choice, we have our voice
What a morning, a lot of things to do
Worrying about the things past due
Overlooking the wonderful blessings, like the beautiful glistening dew
I know it's been a rush, but don't forget about you.

A lot of things to do, eating more than what you can chew
I found an old shoe, wouldn't you have time to care about it too?
Wondering if it has a story too, like where you got your irritating flu.
*******, I have no clue.

Somebody sees when you're feeling blue,
Don't turn them down and give them a *******.

Slow down and chill on a plateau,
Have a coffee with me, there are a lot of things that we don't know
*Life is but a ride, sit back and enjoy the show.
I apologize for the expletives
