Shout out to the friend who makes your life better
Who helps you out when you are in need and makes you happier
Shout out to the friend who may now be just an acquaintance
The period of friendship was brief but filled with brilliance
Shout out to the seasonal friend who calls you only when they need you
At least they remembered that they can always count on you
Shout out to the friend who gives good advice
Who helped you avoid mistakes and shun your vices
Shout out to the friend who was your competition
Made you realize your potential had no limitation
Shout out to that painfully honest friend,
Who never sugarcoats things and numerous times offend
Shout out to the friend who is the life of the party
Count on them to know when, where and the minute THE event is happening
Shout out to that funny friend who goes the extra mile
Who, after a tough day, still manages to make you smile
Shout out to the friend who is a great listener
Who listens to you vent, rant and complain like a big whiner
Shout out to the perennial friend who’s been around for an eternity
Who reminds you about events of YOUR life that you had forgotten
Shout out to the athletic friend, the talented friend, the smart friend
The witty friend, the friend who always wears the nicest clothes,
The quiet friend, the sarcastic friend, the religious friend, the long-distance friend
Shout out to all of them because they are part of who you are today
A celebration of friendship

I wanted to write something about the feeling of being trapped in a loop for too long…
Kushtrim Thaqi Jan 2015
I heard a shout,
and then one more.

I heard a shout and then one more
and those who were blind
stopped, and turned towards the voice.

I heard a shout,
and then one more.

I heard a shout and then one more
and those who were blind-
afraid, picked their sticks and stones.

I heard a shout,
and then one more.

I heard a shout and then one more
and the blinded ones were throwing sticks
towards the voice, throwing stones.

I heard a shout,
and then one more.

I heard a shout and then one more
and when I came close to opening my eyes,
the voice died; Silence, finally, no more noise.
History isn't made,
Isn't told, isn't its registers.
History is screamed,
Shout without words,
As long the feeling is right.

For every action
There's an unequal voice
Roaring positively haltered,
Farming, dividing, conquering,
Cave by cave,
House by house,
City by city,
Until no desire is spared.

All that's left to do
Is screaming badly,
Be hard and be heard,
Out of tune
For other tunes to be discovered.

Shout, shout,
That's the only way
Reality emerge,
Only by scream, by sound,
That's how to honor
All the silence hidden
In fervent claims.

Shout who you are,
Shout the smell around,
Shout as the flowers could answer,
Shout louder than howls,
Shout hunger and richness,
Shout danger, shout peace.

Only unheard screams
Can be shut by the grave.

Shout when you are angry
When you are mad
or confused

Shout because of poverty
for those who are sick and weak
Shout for those who cannot

Shout when you are happy
When things go right
Or you are filled with joy

Shout because of peace
For freedom for the enslaved
Shout because you can

Shout for those who cannot
Shout because you can
Raise your voice.

No one is listening

i scream
i shout
i cry

No one is listening...........So i do it inside

i do it in silence

Balance on the rope
YOU can do it they shout
Hold it all together
YOU can do it they shout
Juggle........Juggle.........JUGGLE
YOU can do it they shout
Count grains of sand
YOU can do it they shout
Tap dance on the ceiling
YOU can do it they shout
DO ALL THESE TASKS AT ONCE!
YOU can do it they shout

Trapped in darkness that only i can see
Trapped with pain and misery
Fever and sadness course through my veins
i'm living a life with others at the reins
The sun light trickles in
But only darkness lays on my skin
There is no air around me

i can't breathe..........i can't be

When i express these things i am told its not ok
People expect me to be happy everyday
i'm expected to smile and laugh
i'm expected to glow and shine
People are uncomfortable when i vent and whine

i scream
i shout
i cry

No one is listening.................So i do it inside

i do it in silence

shout at the TV
shout at the cat
shout at your wife
shout at the noise outside
shout at yourself in the mirror
shout at your life
shout it all to rights
three minute man
watch the door slam.

shout here, shout there..
shout there, shout here..
you see, the food is yummy
but not with shouting mummy and daddy.

shout here, shout there..
shout there, shout here..
you see, i keep on eating
but my tongue taste nothing.

silence here, silence there..
silence there, silence here..
you see, i finished my food
and tomorrow the shouting to be continued.
Well, our neighbors had been fighting again and i thought "how was their dinner?". And also this is my first.

Ladies and gentleman skinny and scout
I'll tell you a tale I know nothing about
The admission is free so pay at the door
Now pull out a chair and sit on the floor

On one bright day in the middle of the night
Two dead boys got up to fight
Back to back they faced each other
Drew their swords and shot each other

The blind man came to see fair play
The mute man came to shout hooray
The deaf policeman heard the noise
And came to stop those two dead boys

He lived on the corner in the middle of the block
In a two story house on a vacant lot
A man with no legs came walking by
And kicked the lawman in his thigh

He crashed through a wall without making a sound
Into a dry creek bed and suddenly drowned
A long black hearse came to cart him away
But he ran for his life and is still gone today

I watched from the corner of the table
The only eyewitness to facts of my fable
If you doubt my lies are true
Just ask the blind man, he saw it too
This is my favorite poem. It's by Tyler Rager and I honestly don't know why I love this poem. But ever since I heard it from the movie I just couldn't wait to find it online and read it. When I read it I fell in love with it. <3 Love this poem a lot.
