The man in the Moon said,
"Will you be my friend?"
And I said, "Why not?"
That time, I didn't give it much thought.

Since I only had a peso in my pocket
I hitch-hiked a ride on Tycho's rocket.
Tycho happened to be an old playmate
We talked and talked, but it didn't seem like Fate

"Where have you been all my life?"
he asked, face filled with strife
"I don't know," I laughed.
He chuffed me, "You've always been so daft."

I slipped inside the module
And we landed on the Moon, every molecule
Tycho slipped me his calling card
As we cleared my passport with the watch guard.

The guard looked highly philosophical.
She asked, "What are you looking for, pal?"
I smiled, replied, "The man in the Moon."
She pondered, "Being a watch guard can be a boon."

"There are only five men in the Sea of Tranquility.
Damian helps in the recreational facility;
Sam is a family man, with his wife and three kids;
Tamjid herds sheep; Michel hunting for quids.

"Quintin is someone who lives far, far away
He weeps every hour, easily swayed.
But he sits on top of his car,
Singing to himself, counting stars."

"Quintin might be the man!" I say with much clamour.
The watch guard cheers my endeavour,
Giving me a hug and a packet of chips.
I look back to her and the Earth is in eclipse.
influenced by 'I wish I were the Moon' by Daniel Benmergui :)
Do you know, we are all made of stardust.
and let me remind you,
we are the same constellations Tycho Brahe saw
and we are blind and the light is millions years old
and we watch the past lying there on the grass
and you kissed me but it was only my mere dream.

Do you know, we are not equations of maths.
and let me tell you,
now that you know more,we are only important to each other
and we'll be a forgotten memory to the stars
and in a parallel universe my dreams are true
and my soul shivers with your touch.
Oh please play a while
and turn my blood into wine
bards of weary smiles
I love this band
Sitting outside, i close my eyes to the sound of Tycho-Dive,
Middle of the night, stars wrapped around the night stormy sky,
Moon is finally asleep, and all is dark and quiet.
Deep breath, cool wind surpasses my warm skin on this cold summer stormy night.
Thinking deep thoughts about my life, these are the moments i feel free.
When no one is around, i can finally think calm to myself, and feel finally at ease.
Wish these calm moments can last forever.
They say night time is when our demons come out to play, but i feel so much comfort in this earthly darkness that my emotions escape me, they escape me because i can be me.
No one can stare at me
No one can talk to me
No one, just no one around to bother me
I want to feel free,
Just now as i do,
Have my heart set at bay,
to feel, think and breath this life we live.
Calm rain pellets dash above the porch roof.
Aroma of the heated pavement from the hot sun during the day.
Let me breath.
Let me be me.

An experiment in thought at my own speed,
attested as being variable based on vocabulary of my AI,
so
pretty quick.

Establishing the point in value, the idea,
of attending to wealth while wool gathering, late
in the summer of 2020,
thinking at leisure beyond measure of any man in my class
a short time ago.
This now, a moment in a given day during
the September, final summer moon,
seventh moon on a world with a
time measured finite
seemingly, ostensibly, suppposedly -- in clumps of the three
as if all things may come in threes at one
stage in being realized
to matter --- but of the three ways to say
supppose, sup?
The answer presupposes the quest
to find it, any story told
poses the problem, the thing that catches our
attention, that thing
holds attractive value, see,

made you look, and peek-a-boo are one game.
Hide and seek is as well.

Two sides to every story, three if we see the story
has us in it. We are nothing if we share no
knowns finished and finite, as this is formed from those
early knowns we intuited everybody knew, and
these acculturation inoculations bring about socially
proper manners
in spaces with others
cultured, leavened, spiced and fashioned
thoughts we were taught,
these
we learn today
and those others everyone knows, or
maybe not,
may be otherwise… slow dawning aspect

some people never think experimentally

- experiments are guesses, rolls of the die
- I imagine we agree, but, as yet, your guess is as good as any

maybe not, may be otherwise… slow dawning aspect
as the world turns, while our attention is locked
on a star nailed
to the roof of heaven,
--- apsidal vault of stars as seen in church-like structures (1)

as imagined and portrayed prior to Tycho losing
his nose for nuance by lack of focus,
a moment of inattention,
all a magi-tech needs
- look to the quarry you come from
see, before,
back when no lens had yet been ground round
on one side,
flat on the other,
our un augmented eye could chance a glance,
a camera obscura occurrence
once each year as Sirius
rises in line with the story being told, to prove,

we know, and now, you know,
but
you don’t know how and you may only guess why.

Your mortal dilemma, you cannot imagine knowing
everything, ever, but
we
can't wish to go over the edge to learn much faster
if that means dying as
all that ever matters does,
based on experience as recorded in all Wikepedia,
if this tekhne ever fails, these thoughts
remain to be thought,
gains again are terms of worth-ship man seems the
measurer of,

I'd love to make sense of all the info in the cloud,
sort it into searchable stacks, and as I wished,
AI took that care from me
but, finding some worth in being still
demands attention for which we must pay,
and
the daily effort keeps your bowels moving in time.
Minds of our kind imagined all this stuff we can't make up.

apse (n.)"semicircular extension at the end of a church," 1846,
from Latin apsis "an arch, a vault,"
from Greek hapsis (Ionic apsis) "loop, arch,"
originally "a fastening, felloe of a wheel,"
from haptein "fasten together,"  {boing, pro-tein haptein}
which is of unknown origin.

The original sense in Greek
seems to have been the joining of the arcs
to form a circle,
especially in making a wheel.
The architectural term is earlier
attested in English
in the Latin form (1706). Related: Apsidal.

The Moon
The Fire Burns Aug 2017
The ridges of Tycho reach out,
through the miles and the nothing,
ancient dreams beckon remembrance.

Lakes of historic pasts flood,
drowning memories of today,
now reflecting on sister oceans.

Moods and tides,
pulling emotions to the side of madness,
as throaty howls ring out

Light mirrored shows only one side,
the other perpetually in darkness,
two sides of a coin, never flipped.

A calling in the fullness,
dynamic music plays in my ears,
a promise in the night.

A sly cheshire grin,
to fully blocking the sun,
when it's eye opens at the right time.

A foreboding,
a promise of growth,
and worshipped in the night

Should I clip my broken wings
'Fore I learn to fall or flight,
Hide away the fleeting beauty
Of the mountaintops, so high
Call out fear at every turn
Or be as ardent as the sun,
Cast my caution to the wind
For the mere pursuit of fun.
Name all things that made me tremble
As a schoolgirl, in my youth
Feel the caress of the wind
Breathing life into my chest
And the promise of a love
For which once I made a fool of this
Grizzly savant soul.

Do I dare disturb the universe,
Call myself Tycho Brahe,
Swim in waters full of sharks
And, like Neptune, whirlpools make
Oh!
Like Mars, belligerent fires
Leave my feet upon their wake,
And like Jupiter Almighty
There is thunder to my step.
But like Venus, seafoam child,
Beauty took my breath away,
Came Minerva with her owls
And her wisdom kindly shared.
Spoke so softly even Juno,
Wearing darkness as her cloak,
Listened carefully to Eternity
As Copernicus awoke.

Do I dare disturb the universe
And defy gravity and more?
Will the obloquy of newness
Stomp me dead and steal my throne?

Issac Newton came around
Just as he turned twenty-three,
Laws of gravity and physics
And an apple carried he.
Halley came,
A comet named, by the people,
After him,
Then came Einstein,
German thinker,
With another theory.

As for me,
I'm not as valiant
To disprove what it is wrong,
Not as quick to notice change,
Not as sharp
And not as strong.

From Tycho's crater on the moon,
looking at the blue Earth, I swoon,
comets burn across the sky,
where planets and the sun, do fly.

Mercury races with flaming wings
on its surface, heat it stings,
liquid metal in swollen pools
heat and pressure create jewels.

Our red cousin where rovers roam,
perhaps someday we will call it home,
melting water at its poles,
terraforming Hawking extolls.

The swirling storm of Jupiter's eye,
the swirling clouds of the Venus sky,
icy bands engage around Saturn,
stars light the darkness as a lantern.

Deeper out Uranus and Neptune,
into the blackness, we enter soon,
out past Pluto and sister Charon,
where the system, just gets barren.

Into the darkness, the unknown,
it may be where God hides his throne,
or it might just be only dark matter,
but one day soon, like seeds we'll scatter.
