An Addiction
Sarah Logan Aug 2015
I wish you craved me the way you crave that nicotine
I with you reached for my body like you do for that pack
I wish my smile was your addiction
And my kiss satisfied your needs
I wish I occupied the space in your bones that black tar fills
I wish I could wrap around you the way each cloud of smoke does
I wish I was your addiction
And I wish I was enough for you.

You Make Me Want to Throw Up
Sarah Logan Aug 2015
You make me want to throw up
You make my heart skip a beat
You make my head fill with air
You make everything blurry but your name
You make me want to throw up
Your name burns my ears
Your kiss stings my lips
Your smile breaks my heart
You make me want to throw up

Waiting to be Answered
Sarah Logan Jan 2015
I can feel you not listening
You may hear me but you do not listen
The words I say collecting in air
As I wait
Looking at you
Never looking at me
There the words hang
Waiting to be answered
But it will never come
Because you hear me
But you do not listen.

The Girl with Short Hair
Sarah Logan Oct 2014
She puts on a sun dress
Trying to emphasize the lumps on her chest
But no amount of makeup or even a bow
Can distract from the fact that her self esteem's  low
She's ugly and she knows it
She's bitter and she shows it
Keep writing your chicken scratch and waving it high
As all of the people keep passing you by
You crave their attention and desire their praise
But they just keep on walking, ignoring you for days.
So she pulls down her collar to an all new low
Trying to put on a better show
They have no more pity for the girl with short hair
They just can't seem to muster a single care
