In the garden hard with frost
sits an old man with furrowed eyes
staring at old decorations
dangling from branches
overhung with snow.

His forced breath sinks into fog.
He cannot feel
the rising of a warmer wind
or the furrowed ground
beneath his feet
poised to ooze life.

I am afraid of his eyes.
I turn away when he looks up
at the waves of geese returning,
thawing the ground with their shadows.

we are a paradox
we're the same soul,
but we come from different planets
we're made of the same flame,
but we burn in different ways
that's why you're both chaos and remedy to my heart
I'm not a Know-IT-All
I just know it all in this category
But i'm blurry on the others
But hey, we can always improve!
Got to keep the train on the rails
Got to keep that truck shipping boxes
No stagnation is allowed around these parts
Only growth and development
I live in winter where everything sleeps.
Time is as silent as the falling snow.
Cold wind sweeps through trees so bare- I have nowhere to go.
Resting 'til life green and new stirs from its sleep.
The earth awakens me.

I live in spring where things begin and the frost replaces the dew on the wild violets. Rain sprinkling down in silvery threads giving life to the earth.

I live in summer where the endless golden sun shines upon the earth.  The scent of honeysuckle floats on the breeze,
like the sweetest of all my dreams.

I live in autumn with its crisp cooling air.
The towering trees take on a golden glow as they light the way to the fruits the earth has grown.
A revised version of poem I have published elsewhere.
The itsy bitsy spider
Climbed up
The lanky boy
And on his head
It made a nest
Weaving a web
In between threads
Of curly hair
You'd think
He'd notice
He did not
Surprised his girlfriend
When she ran her fingers
Through his hair
He's bald now.
I'm so proud to be the Father
of the lovely young lady
that you have turned out to be.
There's none other I would rather
for a daughter because you see;
You my love mean the world to me.
I am incredibly blessed with two wonderful daughters

Stay up all night thinking of you,
of cigarette kisses that never happened,
the after taste of mint in my tongue.

I'm drunk,
But I know clearly all I've wanted is you.

Goodnight,
You're head on the pillow
the dreams are out the window,
In the morning you'll pretend and continue your day.

Cigarette kisses,
I'm addicted to the the nicotine hanging off your tongue.

Good morning regret, remember me?
You know me too well,
I'm here at the back waiting on your bed.
Let's stay up all night,
I'm the only company you've got.

You're drunk,
drowning sorrow with some stranger's warmth.

Hello,
I'm back;
tell me about how lonely you are,
I will try to kiss you and pretend,
when the sun breaks through the window,
about how bad we are for each other.

Cigarette smoke, mint kisses;
we're addicts to this cancer but, ****,
I need you at night when I'm most lonely.

We're drunk, love,
let's drag this in the covers and
burn our fingers with the ashes.
Maybe I'll edit it, maybe I won't.
