Lovely Day
 Jan 2018 rose
Seema
The morning dew on the grass
Feels like sheets of glass
One could walk on bear foot
To feel the chills and pure bliss
See how the dews drop to kiss
Each flower that blooms today
An amazing morning, a lovely day...

I fall
away
to remain
together.
This is
my way.
To hold
my breath
before
diving deeper.
To hold
my bones
just a little
closer.
This is
how I know
I am whole.
When
I have
nowhere
else to go.
No one
else to
rely on.
I count
on my
own soul.
It might
lead me
through
the snow
and cold,
but I know
it will
always
lead me
back
home.
**
There is a weight in my chest
Something that will never rest
My whole body feels nothing but heavy
I’m incredibly unsteady
I can not stand up on my own
I have no one else
I’m all alone....
Just sad thoughts and stuff
Every time I opened my mouth someone left.
So I guess I just stopped opening my mouth...
Thoughts and stuff
It’s been three years
I actually fit in here
And yet you want to leave?
Why are my decisions
Never left up to me?
It dosnt matter anyway
No one will ever stay
It’s gotten to now
Where I’m accustomed
To you as you walk away
I guess that now
I know how you look
More from behind
Than in the front
I wish I could rewind
I don’t know what would be different
Or how it would end
But maybe I would be firm
And not bend
When I was made to leave
And told to walk away
Or maybe even you might stay.
Just my thoughts one life atm hopefully will be better eventually.......

The Rose
 Jan 2018 rose
Madalon
This rose in a garden full of weeds but still managed to survive
This rose overlooked by most so it never got fed
This rose so fragile but yet so strong it's as if nothing could destroy it
Then you came along with your giant feet not caring where they step or the lives you will end because you care about nothing but yourselves
Now again I ask you why did you step on that helpless little flower?
This is an original poem

I found my boots where I discarded them five hours ago when I left for work
I shouldn't have been surprised- I knew I had put them there
I just usually don't

My boss was still around when I got there
He put me on an hour earlier for Fridays, so I suppose I'll see him every once in awhile now
When it's just a little too early for him to go home

I hate leaving for seven am in the dark with my hair wet
Distant shuffling noises, echoed ghosts of late last night
Shadows I can't understand
Only cut through by kind people who make breakfast when I can't pull myself together

Our habitat is warm- it surrounds me like a rainforest exhibit in a museum
Somehow not unfamiliar, or exotic,
Exactly like you expected,
Exactly like the pictures

I fell asleep at noon when I got home
Late nights to early mornings to interviews for a real job
Late nights to early mornings to nursing classes
So it goes

I don't remember when my socks came off
When I crawled into bed
When I woke up half alive
I wouldn't have remembered to leave for work at all if I hadn't set an alarm late last night when I got home

"I can't believe I'm doing this."
No time at home, just notes and then more notes and then
Sleep, I guess
Sleep and work and sleep at work as long as I'm on break
Not breaking focus, eyes on some sort of goal I can't quite see yet
But it's there, I know it's there, I've heard it, like a rumor spread so many **** times you can't help but believe it like the most obvious fact
So I'm here, straight as an arrow
Shorts on, notebook out, letting my tea seep into my spirit and fill in all the cracks before I start over
First of all, can anyone guess my current (part time, think high school/college student) job? Tomorrow I submit my application for a nursing assistant program. I have had OCD since I was ten, causing me to fear contamination more than anything. It is also an extra month of trying to save money from work and balanxe classes at the same time. So I'm laying here in bed and could finally finish this poem with the added inspiration, "I can't believe I'm doing this." Please comment! :)

Skye Marshmallow
Twinkling specks of silver surround us
On this bitter, January night
Our docs battle through powdered snow
As we swim across the sea of white

Fire burns warm in Tess' eyes
As a smile catches across her lips
The magical flames fliker bright
At the touch of her fingertips

We applaud as it performs for us
It's a dancing red lady
Teasing the twigs and sparkling sticks
It's allure drives the forest crazy

As time cartwheels fast ahead
Our beloved crimson mistress dies
Though this little evening adventure
Has made us feel, so very alive.
Evening adventures :)
