Sometimes the rain drops
are so big and succulent
like mangoes
and tears
and temple bells
at dawn

The parched earth
smiles
and welcomes all
in her embrace
the rain drops
ripe mangoes
endless tears
and mystic sound
of temple bells
at dawn
Monsoon rains are here upon us and big, big, raindrops bless our parched land with smiles. :)
You treat your heart like skipping stones
Tossing it out on loves lake alone
Counting off one, two, three
Trying not to skip a beat

The problem in this you find
Yourself always on the shoreline
Instead of dipping your toes
In the lake of love you'll never know

It's hard to throw when you have
A handfull of broken hearts from the past
Where all you do is toss your stones
Standing on the life's shore alone

Uh oh
She's gone

Into the ocean floor
Into the forest
Out in space
Floating away

Uh oh
She won't come back

Trying to tell her the truth
But her head turns away
Whatever she hears will come out through the other ear

I don't want to talk to a wall

Uh oh
She's gone

Uh oh
I can't help her no more

I love her
But she's far away

Hope one day you'll realize
you give me waaay too much credit;
u are investment; a great poet,
needing tending and nurture,
watering and encouragement;
since god could not be everywhere,
he made sure many poets exist
to tend
to their fellow's seeds
~~
the problem with seeds
they don't come with a guarantee
from the manufacturee,
or a note from home
for the teacher,
that makes ''my dog et it''
slightly more believable,
each a new babe seedy needy,
crying in the mid of night,
for water and loving attention
as it teethes roots in the soil,
and
the discourteously majority
fail to appear even if you read them
good night moon, nightly

you must plant ten,
hoping one child,
will sprite sprout
and even then,
survive the outrageous misfortunes of  natures
bumps and beaks of the day and night
that lurk about in a
disarmingly charmingly
destructive way

did i say ten?
idiot.
plant a hundred
just to obtain one germination.

I think the seed guys have
conned us pretty good
the odds
truly ****
as you, the champion children
like to say nowadays,
and **** they are,
too right

sun I cannot control:
water and soil, I can,
for if n'ere to rain,
your seeds will be
well fed,
well read,
and the water,
my eyes will supply
naturally
nat- u r a ally

It takes a lifetime to love.
It takes falling through the abyss,
being torn to nothing,
and still fighting for someone
after everything
to love.
Love is not easy,
nor is it always kind.
Love tells the truth
when the truth is not desired.
Love is easy to fall into,
easier to fall out of,
and nearly impossible to maintain.
But let it guide you and you’ll see:
love will ask but will also give,
love remains while all else fails.
Love will not conquer,
but instead will guide.
Love will persist
when all else dies.

The Calm
Nature, is such a teacher
each season, voices loud as a preacher
how life can be hard, as cold as winter
but to drop your leaves, for it's not summer
to wait til spring, each raindrop will sing
you can answer each call, to prepare for fall,
because winter is coming again
but be sure, the winter will end
Because if it's one thing, I've learned, and seen before
The leaves of the trees will shed,
They'll drop to the floor, turn orange and red
but just because the branches of a tree is barren,
doesn't mean that the trees are dead.

The Calm
Your beauty adds color
to a life that once saw no meaning
A soul circling the globe, lustful eyes gleaning
a passion, a purpose, a price, all for the loss
one's life leaning, to the echo, the beat of a drum
the vibration, fleeting
life, like the flame on a candle, flickering
without the air I am nothing, with the air, I am gone
I thought I'd take a walk today,
down the road,
around the block.
Detach myself,
go where I feel,
not where I think.

I found myself under dimly lit street lamps,
questioning the lamps ferocity.
Man strives for evolution,
and around me it stands,
a testament to our ferocity,
our everlasting battle to be better.
Yet it feels so limp,
a dim light like a wisp of wind.
Not a raging fire,
a lions roar.

How great are we really?
Are the edifice of our time a testament to our eminence?

I stare into the window of a home.
On the television,
damnation.
A preacher and a parishioner,
absorbing the rhetoric.

One might think nothing of it,
but everything has a motive.

As I round the bend,
I think to myself an old idiom,
"the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak".
Our evolution is stalled under the impression that these edifice represent progress.
Alas, our minds remain stale.
Thousands of years of blood,
greed and deceit,
rest under dimly lit street lamps,
unseen and ignored.
