My heart is cut into two
One for me, one for you

I bleed of love
If you return the same love

I bleed of blood
If you break the other half

I do not know if it's magic or what
But still I live with a broken heart
Lunch-break poem.
I am foam on the crest of the wave
A newly freed slave
The pinnacle of the mountain
         The base of the fountain
I am hot blood on tiger’s claw
An unfamiliar door.
I can be found in the solar flare’s reach
And on the 6am beach
I am a meme
I am news
I’m a new pair of shoes.
I am a jungle just discovered
       A dusty tomb uncovered
The morning dew, intense sky, blue.
The words on the tip of your tongue
A grand theory undone
I am in birth
I am in death
And in the arc of your breath
I am life

Packing my heart with memories I walk
closing the door to the past.

I move with anticipation
no regret
With excitement
no fear
just a deep breath to balance
and move on.

On with back pack of memories
and a loving spirit knowing
home is where the heart is.

Don't go so fast
You forget to look at the stars
Again
IDK I just fall in love with the nooks and crannies of the world and wish more people would notice them

like a garment.
His absence
left her
naked.

I respect therapists
like I respect anthropologists,
they dig and encounter an ampersand,
they can always inform beforehand
and foreshadow results,
but they found my bones
below 6 feet
and can’t form an answer,
they knew where to search
they found the ticking finger
pointing at lazy fissures,
and buried blisters
but dripping shovels
keep raising a faded flag
that says
“they’re nothing here keep moving”
