the tale of love that will never be become true
Well you may be stuck in place,
Inside Heaven’s wheel the spin.
As is an angel in her grace,
Witness of all man’s sin,
Giving out her smile in lovely taste,
So oblivious to others…
Whose hearts she fills an eager haste,
Soliloquy to crooning lovers…
Infatuation poetry which doubles as a metaphor for the serpentine Queen of Heaven. The first human writing form was symbol(Logos) what is referred to as logogrammic or pictographic that is why a word can mean several things as the symbol is ideographic representing multiple concepts at the same time. Therefore, the rotating heavens which move up and down like a wave or zig-zag pattern over the course of a year are drawn as a wavy line which also represented a Serpent, rivers, streams, springs and motion itself hence why, "Dragons," are always found near water. The celestial serpent is heaven itself and Melissa translated correctly is a quasi-Greco-Semitic name meaning, "black tongue," literally a snakes tongue, allegorically cleverness in speaking which is also associated with the serpent.

Melissa is translated by modern scholars as meaning sweet only because sweet or sweetness is associated with the name as Greek and Roman temples had serpents living in them and sweet cakes were put out for them to eat at night which really only brought mice for them to feed on. It was considered a good omen though if your cakes were, "eaten," by the temple serpent.

I could be serenading a girl or the grand old serpent of heaven; Tiamat.

I whispered "I love you" in the breeze
Hoping you would remember our years
Let them travel with ease
My words  would reach your ears

I watch some leaves abound
Dancing above like my words
They floated in the air round and round
Till they tumbled to the ground

how i have ached to walk amongst the evergreens
encased by dazzling quaking aspen
in my rocky mountain home

i yearn to fall again while skiing
and catch a wisp of icy sky blue
snow powder crystals
on my tongue
******* feelings
rise and fall
as they melt
and disappear

i long to breathe in your scent
sitting on the peak of wooded ridges
amidst slate colored boulders
sea salt combined with cinnamon
laced with wildflowers
crisply filling my lungs

i hunger to once again
behold again your red rock formations
creating tender hollows
through which timid coral sunsets peer

i crave hiking at dusk
into your jagged emerald forests
and sit wistfully mid the columbine
while darkened sunflowers juxtapose
against the jet black emptiness
enticing the stars
to etch enchanting paintings
on inky cobalt skies

hankering to be at the sundance film festival
coyly peeking into restaurants
covertly spying on the movie stars
on old park city main

itching to experience waiting patiently
for a moose to cross the street
its majesty splashing gingerly
sending chills throughout the galaxy
magnificence abounds

i pine to have memories gently cradle me
like worn out patchwork quilts
warmed by incandescent fires
wrapping me in soft colored canvas
the past craving transformation
by an echo that’s now dim

faintly crying out for
an old familiar artist’s brush
that still lingers
to snag times gone by
and paint the future in

amalgamating the antiquated
with the present
luring in
my destiny

i dream to don my fringed leather jacket
and hear my cowboy boots
fiercely clicking
against charcoal shadowed midnight sidewalks
while i watch the harvest moon

i’m parched too see your autumn chestnut leaves
against the bloodshot auburn sky
as cardinal hues give way to glistening winter
melding into tender spring

your summertime birthing
tingles down my spine
as chartreus aspen leaves
morph to golden bisque
enticing ute country
to blow in
copper colored indian summers
with cherry fragrant wind

yutaahih you were called
by the apaches
their historic essence
somehow ingrained within
my every cell
thirsty to lie enveloped
like a long lost lover
in your rugged western terrain

once having left your presence
i return to you now
my heart flutters
with wild anticipation
to see your precious face again

Your lies don't fool me
While the rest of the world lends an ear
Speak. Speak. Speak.
I still don't hear you.
Your lying, hateful words
Poison. You're poison.
Make the world believe your stories
I still don't hear you.
You and your deceitful, manipulating, ******* lies
Speak. Speak. Speak.
Until you have no more lies to tell.
You make me sick.
Oh you know... Just another rant.

Into the horrid heat of my summer
You fall as drops of rain
The broken bangles I treasure
Fall down and crack into still smaller bits

In this Ravenous night
As I sit outside, all alone
Looking into the night sky
I see blinking stars here and there
And my memories swim
Around a starry eyed girl

My mind speeds like a steed to those days
That had the beauty and brilliance
Of the arching rainbows of the blue
And the glowing hues of peacock feathers
You were then the rhyme and rhythm of my life
The song and melody of my spirit
The symphony in my violin
The alluring dream of my nights

Once you got into my garden unbidden
Like a flitting butterfly
A leaping grasshopper
A honey ******* bee
A winging robin
When the breeze was hissing
When the flowers were nodding
And perched on my shoulder

I plucked for you a red, red rose
And you savored its fragrance
That very day you became my friend
You spread a pervading aroma
That wafted into me with every gushing wind
You became the throb of my life
My singular passion
A rising flame
My heart’s silent language
The sole focus of my life

But without even a parting word
You left me to my fate
Now I am pushed into a desolate isle
Where loneliness comes to strangle me
And I feel so defenseless!

Here I struggle to elbow out
The train of wistful memories
And at my feet lies the withered rose
The sad reminder of a passion we once shared

Now I know love hurts, it hurts terribly
Leaving one so utterly vanquished

Won’t you come once again?
As my friend, nay as my soul mate
To be together for ever
And sit looking at each other from eye to eye!
In anticipation, I wait here
For the falling echo
Of your jingling footsteps!

Yes, I am in eternal wait!

Sudden was the descent of poetry on me
I tottered under its weight
My body heated up like the sun
A frying egg yolk on the pan
My blood started burning…. burning
A strange madness crept across my senses
Intoxicated as by an excess dose of ale
Or drunk with the vintage wine
Or by some mystical disengagement
I started levitating
Wings sprouted up suddenly on my sides
I reeled round and round
Flew up and up
Meteors flashed past
Stars blinked
Larger celestial bodies stood still
Strange sounds fleeted past my ears
My heart palpitated,
Like the rumblings of thunder
My eyes glowed like fire *****

A shout I heard afar
Over the heavens’ mysterious rim
Muffled though, I could decipher it;
“Welcome to the clan of poets”!
Around me, I saw multitudes of poets
Young and old, their faces blazing
Like a thousand lanterns lit
In that blinding brilliance
My filmy wings burnt outright!

Like Icarus, from the heights
I flopped down to the chasm below
In the scattered heap of flesh and bones
A faint stir …..
…………………..
The feeble flutter of a poetic heart
Before it was finally stilled!!
This is how I feel now....... in the blinding brilliance of poetic talents I see here, my wings are burnt !
