Liz And Lilacs
He fell in love,
With the idea of her.
But he realized too late
that ideas aren't people
and they never do
what you expect.
People aren't things to dream about.
People are imperfect beings
And they don't fit into
Your misunderstood notions.
Foolish ideas, foolish emotions,
Now he's her fool,
Juggling his own life
For her entertainment.

AP
in the coming months the frost will pass
leaving green blades visible and new formed dirt paths
daisies and orchids will rise beneath heaven's light
but you, the wallflower, will wilt like its still winter, crippled in dismal fright
the fear of remaining alone
the fear of not knowing when you will become like the proud flowers that stand vibrant and grown
but as spring turns to summer and the clouds disappear
the wind will pick up, and send another wallflower's pedals through the air
so poor wallflower, do not fret
your roots have the strength of 1000 roses
the kind of beauty that could be carved into statuette
you will survive when there is no rain
because you understand loneliness and unprecedented pain
so stay calm, oh wavering friend
water will still seep through your timid veins
and your brilliance will shine, even if its tangled in your inhibited chains
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed!

Our Tomb

My affinity for sleeping
Is not to rest–
But rather,
To wander
Relive
Revisit
Myself; my missteps.
I seal myself away
In a timeless tomb
Where I can hope
And dance
And love
Whomever I choose.
I do not find my time wasted
When I drift away in the night
I find myself again living
In leau of reality's knock.

Sunrise.
Sunset.
Night and day.

Birth.
Death.
Beginning and end.

Why can't you see
That the ending
Holds just as much beauty

As the opening
Of the enormous play on stage
That is life.
Both beginning and ending are necessary.
The circle of life.

Nothing Much
I am in awe of the limitless nature of the human mind
How it stretches infinitely inwards
Containing a private universe that would be forever in isolation
Unless that individual chooses to launch out shooting stars
Rocket ships from other worlds in the form of music, poetry, art
We are sending satellite signals out from our galaxies
Desperately holding cups to our ears
Tightrope walking on the string theory
Because the world needed yet another teenage poem with space imagery.
