Ribbons of rains
A translucent sheet
Papery streamers
Down the streets

Children dream
Of castles and moats
To sail their
white paper boats

Yesterday’s flowers
Colour the pathway
For every passerby
As they take a final bow
It’s raining here :)

You
I hear your
voice, whispering
softly in the
night, telling
me you love me.
I feel the far off
safety and
warmth
of your arms around
me
I breathe
in your smell,
clean and fresh,
screaming of you.
But then I
wake and
realize
it was only a dream,
and I'm left
with nothing
but my
thoughts

basil
i picked out my shiniest penny
and threw it in the wishing well
crossing my fingers
and whispering 'pleasepleaseplease'
as you filled my thoughts

eleven years hasn't made me any wiser
just more sarcastic
but i still pick out my shiniest penny
for that old wishing well
and wish for you
with crossed fingers
i miss you so much, papa. i hope i see you in another life.

rk
i kissed you
and tasted the light of the stars
& the apricot dawn all at once.
your lips had something wild in them
as if you were birthed,
from lightning itself
as if the sea had strung you together
from her most precious pearls.
- it's 6am and i'm falling again.

My eyes
are windows
to my soul
and i can’t seem
to draw
the blinds.

The water
was lovely, dark, and deep;
wild and free
it called to me,
invited me in
what a shame i couldn’t swim.
