Wait a second.
Steady hand my right hand man.
That must be the effects of the Diazepam.

One in the chamber, one in the chest, one in the body and one in the head.

One for each of his family members,
picture him dead, picture perfect and pick up the pieces after the death.

.....if there's anything left.

I'm right over here.

tat.

Onomatopoeia..

What's the matter dear?

Nothing to see here, but bullet ripped flesh and civilian fear.

No need for tears.
No need for tears.

Keep composed. You'll be home soon. In your own tomb or personal hell.
Waking to the sounds and screams of mortuary shells.

Reload, you know how it goes.

Decomposed in a body bag, forever alone.

he's the colour of sunshine
the glitter he hates,
sparkling in his crinkling eyes

his laugh
is the colour of daisies in november,
teasing the troubled naiad into a state
of pure affection

his kiss
I imagine
is the colour of bliss,
like honey dripping from the lips of queens by the nile

his love,
however
is the colour of water
clear
non-existant.
My smile is an empty mask..
My soul shadowed with darkness
I struggle each day
To face
A world of happy people..
But perhaps
Their smiles too
are only masks
And we all face the shadows
Together
Alone

I'm sorry darling
after eight pm

I can't read

Words mingle
with red wine

All I can  give
a rendition

A slurred attempt
at rhyme
I want to burn that image of you
In my memory forever
I want to remember every single detail
Of that moment
Of you, of me, of us
Your sparkling blue eyes felt like freedom
Your slightly self conscious smile felt like home
Wrapped up in your arms
Dancing to a crazy beat
Spinning wildly without a care
Oh you make me feel so alive
You always have
I want to burn that moment in my memory forever
I never ever want to forget how much I adore you
I never ever want to forget how
you set me free
