to me,
you are
an art

                              to you,
                              I was
                              a tragedy
you still remain, and will always be
a fine piece of art
to me.
// edit: thank you for having this in the daily. ♡

that self love isn’t a subject that’s taught in schools?

imagine what a world we’d live in
if more people loved themselves

we’d love each other
what a beautiful thing that’d be

When did we become
irrelevant? We were poets!
We could turn a phrase.
Our lines could sit on a pin
so precise to spin in orbits around
what world's we once were.

like a crescent moon bleating in shrouded light
the warm kiss
evaporates on fluttering moons
I hold you close, and whisper secrets to your scars

this was a poem about something that happened to me, its really deep and your welcome

i'm gasping for air
i'll never get
maybe if you'd miss me you would care.

who am i kidding?

i've been trying to get you to see me
for years beyond years,
but here i am with the sunlight pooling through
and you don't look at me

you never do.
