we are in
an upward trend
where everything is beautiful roses.
let's not descend
downward
because all we'll have then
are thorns.

One ruffle divides
once allied kingdoms,
prosperity lost for
propensity's folly --
The stranger gained
is the lover lost,
the rival conceived
between the same satin
that birthed a union of
kings who can't crown
but wear as robes
what rolls off the shoulder
as you turn away (lying)
like a wave of intent
that shifts the tides to
flood empty channels,
a moat to surround these
castle walls constructed
in stone defense, having
forfeited our palace
to break this treaty.

I know you would never love me
I know perhaps there would be someone else who loves me truly
Yet the future does not concern me now
When I know you will never be in it
Could you spare me a loving touch
even though I postulate nothing more than a passing glance

How does attraction work
the unknown machinations of the fragile cage
and the weeping bird inside it
singing of sorrow coursing through mauve streams
inundating the body whilst weakening the mind

Once I hankered after the thought of love
but now I just think about you.
Amongst the trees standing still,
I found you as the fruitful one
Amidst the flock above me here,
I saw you as an angel, dear

Within the feelings I've to protect,
the one for you is like a sun
Between us two, there's lot of pain
that I have chosen to bear

But what is pain if love's the prize,
that rain into my world?
The rain is sun, and sun is rain
which I always want to hold...
You are both the sun and rain into my world because you are my everything.

my body is sober
and yours is not
my lungs aren't dead yet
but yours are close
will i ever see you again
yeah, probably not
did i ever love you?
i don't think so

we've trashed the house and now we've trashed our lives

we threw a tv out the window
left the trash can piled up
2 strangers
are sleeping on my couch
there's broken beer bottles on the top of my roof
and now there's a broken heart inside my chest
