Shaking, and twitching
Like you're about to explode
Not knowing what to do
And not sure where to go
Balling your fists, and grinding your teeth
A raging fire is burning beneath
Like a tower made of playing cards and glass
One burst of wind and this structure won't last,
Look over your shoulder, someone might be following you
Be afraid of everything
Cause it's all that you can do
This is such a tight space, and your running out of air
And your entire face is tangled in your hair
What do you do?
How do you speak?
Your fast beating heart is feeling quite weak
Your hands quiver as you roll a few
Or fill your ****
Whatever you must do
Your brain is freaking out
So take it on a trip
You need to calm down
And get a grip

I wear your heart
on my heart
and your pain
also belongs to me.
When you begin to cry,
look up at me
and I too will have tears
staining my cheeks.
When life feels too heavy
please know I will be there
to lift you up if you fall.

And when a smile
creeps across your face
and laughter escapes your lips,
you better believe
I'm wearing a grin to match.
Maybe I'm empathizing a nervousness you don't even have
Maybe I'm scared of who I really am
Maybe I'll just laugh
There is not always stars.
The small I-do's we said that night,
We're not done
Under a blanket of moonlight.
We did not sit by a fire
Holding love in our bones,
Mending.
We did not walk on a beach,
Toes in the sand,
Love at first sight.
You did not pull me in and kiss me.
We didn't even say much.
But it was beauty,
The way you smiled at me when
I emerged in your doorway,
With a dollar store rose of apology.
The way you rigidly
Imperfectly hugged me.
In sticky sweet serenity.
May we look back on that moment and smile.
Into the crimson surfeit
lust enters
a burst of borrowed intimacy
until the blanching rust
of familiarity
slows the soft flow of love.

into all lust enters
dying with the first light...............

I realize that so few know and so few care
But tonight will consist of watching dye run out of my hair
And brushing the taste of cough drop off of my teeth
Then listening to music that makes me cry until I fall asleep
Someone, please, save me.

My thoughts are poisoning me and you're the only antidote
I want to run away.
I want to stop thinking.
I want affection,
however ephemeral
and sickeningly circumstantial
from people
who seek the same.
If only for tonight,
they’re my kindred souls,
so I’ll take one,
pretend it’s you,
give up myself to your reflection
and in the morning
curse at my conception,
come to.

she was asked what was art, and she replied saying, 'it's paintings, like from picasso.'

art is not only found on a canvas

it can be seen through the movements of dancers.

it can be heard through a musician's voice or words.

it can be smelled in a chef's resturant.

it can be shown at fashion shows.

it can be captured in photographs.

it can be written in the form of a poem.
