New
New pair of shoes
New way of thinking
New type of coffee
New summer camp

So why can’t we adjust
To this new way of life
Physical distancing
And wearing masks

Sure, Plexiglass might be a pain
Back in the office, but
It’s better than working from home
With your kids hyped up on sugar

If you’re stuck in a rut
Don’t be afraid to ask for help
Sure, it might be embarrassing
But rent won’t pay itself

I hope you have learned
Check the CDC website
If you have any questions
During this time

I am alone
Quiet roads and broken trees
Are standing like mourners
I am alone
No family or friends to guide me
No one is there
I am lonely
I wish someone
Anyone
Was there
I am alone
And I am lonely

Home
Is where the heart is
Or do they say
Home
Is
Family
A blue door
Home is
Me

Stuck
In a time of worry
Stuck
In an endless loop
Stuck
Without summer camp
Stuck
Without my friends
I’m stuck
We’re all stuck
In this time and place
Stuck

Canadians are
Supposed to be the kindest
Are they really though?

The sky is bluer than I've ever seen it before
The grass is green as emerald
I don't have any words to describe this place
Just that it is ethereal

Blue, green
Ethereal

Whoa

I write
A symphony
Of you
And me

We sing
Our symphony
Colors and sounds
Float through the trees

Symphony
Red and blue
Make a purple symphony
