Intangible facets of chaste delicacy
dance under the curtains in poised stability;
shattered, self-battered, strengthened it may,
those fine lines, those fissures, his cigarettes portray.

i've
   witness-
   ed the others
   fall over several
sets•leaving you alone
shivering on a spindly twig
•the winds of autumn had whis-
pered their threats...•to sweep you
off your perch into the world so big
•the season had almost gone to make
way for another•answering the sum-
mons of winter's call•had anticipated
the coming of your departure•...i had
sworn to myself to catch you as you'd
fall•for a brief moment, i had turned
away•to tend to commitments that
came with dawn...•i returned to
stay and wait another day...•
but the wind had come

Will part of us live on in others
will our dreams remain
will our love never end
are we infinite?

Space, surely it is infinite
never ending, just like no beginning
we could travel the stars for infinity
but is Space really infinite.

Life, now surely
it's been here for so long
in some form.
Could it exist else where
Mars, Titan, else where
so if Space is infinite
could life be

Ideas, imagination, surely they must be
they make up who we are
they gave us architecture
books, music, art
Ideas and imagination have existed for as long as us
so are they infinite

If none of the others, then surely technology
surely that is infinite
Cars, computers, phones, AI
surely technology will live on
in some form
it must be infinite

HUMANS
If our dreams, our love
If space, if life
If our ideas, our imagination, our technology
If one of them lives on, if just one of them is infinite
then could Humans be infinite
See the stars in the night sky
the clear blue seas
and the architecture of shanghai.
See art
the beauty of the world
and the passion of the human heart.

Smell the roses, tulips and lilies
the perfumes and aftershaves
and the over powering smell of chilies.
Smell the coffee, the toast and the flowers
the morning after a rain storm
and the bread in its infant hours.

Touch the sand
the animals of the world
and the many animals that live on the land.
Touch the fabrics
the rivers
and the seas

Feel the wind
the rain as it falls
and the snow hitting your face.
Feel the coldness
the warmness
and the change in temperature.

Hear the birds
the laughter
and the tears.
Hear the dogs
the cats
and the music of the world.
My heart is cold and empty,
Love has sapped me of love
In all the right places, rooted in me.
Time nourished me.
And it would be lonely for you there.

Scars bridged all fate I have,
Altogether. My poems--
Buoying me to the river
Of my mind, and out to finding you.

My heart is cold and empty.
So bring the world with you.
Your dream, your soul, your pride.
Bring the photo of your dearest smile,
The pallette of your eyes, that is
Also water, and sun, and sky.
Your discoveries and doubts--
Dear, take them with you,
For there would be many, there,
That are not. All is shadow within,
And burden, and gravity.

You would know what its like
To be the light or the feather,
A star, or hope
To one that is hopeful.
You would feel what it is
To be one, and being one,
And being all
With me.

You would kiss, as though
To love yourself. Embrace, as though
To set one free. And journey,
As though to settle on my heart,
Realigning all that is whole
With all imperfect pieces.

Now, live,
Love in faith.
Go after dreams,
And silly things,
Fail. Learn. Act.
Feel.
Drink coffee.
Sing Karaoke.
Be crazy.
Ignore poetry.
Believing,
That way,
Somehow,
You are loving me.*

Men may
land on Mars one day but
some are stilled,
locked in to bones and skin.

Men may explore
look and want more and sometimes find,
some unlock the potential of
the untapped mind.

Some men are blind and others can't see but
men will be what they will be.

Men may one day
do what they say,
men who control the state of play but
I can't wait,
my ideas are ready to germinate.

Some
men would hesitate
prefer alternatives but
I believe that the status quo is a safe place
where the unimaginative go and so
I press on.

If I could hold a
beam of light
The night might
seem
less frightening.
