It's 15 minutes to 12,
where are you?
I've been missing you lately,
trying to hide these feelings
under a layer of foundation
but the truth reveals itself
when the rain comes
and it all gets washed away.
I've been wanting you lately,
two perfect circles of blush on red
relate the want and the need
which only grows with
the fire inside me.
I've been hating you lately,
plucking at your existence in my memories
but no matter how hard i try
you keep growing back.
I've been loving you again lately,
My red lips and wet hair:
a testament to your broken shrine
which used to live inside me.

You've been thinking about me lately?
Your loss honey,
the rain is here.
Watch me go and wash you away

The tears have come so oft
that I can feel their presence in their absence.
Their bodyless shape is indented on my cheeks,
a perfect trail from my heart
to my eyes.

Even when my eyes are dry and cold
they run with the wet and hot tears
of my gladly saddened heart.

These blind tears have seen a lot,
from the death and parting of a loved one
to the birth and gain of another.
From mornings in paradise
to nightly terrors in hell.
When the angels sing in light,
these tears rejoice
and when the demons come to consume in dark,
these tears mourn.
When the sun doesn't shine and
the snow doesn't let up,
these tears feel the pain.
When the wind blows
and the light shines,
these tears feel the joy.

These tears have come so oft
that I can feel absence in their presence.
Their bodyless shape is indented on my cheeks,
a perfect trail from my eyes
to my heart.

I do not know how long this summertime will last
or for how long these roses will bloom.
I do not know for how long we
can put off the winter of our lives.
I do not know the answers to any of these questions.
All I know is that with you by my side
I will weather through these withering winds
and travel down the path of demise.

How long can we battle the darkness of winter?
With my soul strengthened by yours,
forever my Darling. I will fight
and fight the recessing sun
and still kiss every wrinkle
and curve of this wilting rose.
As our blood turns to ice,
I will fight and toil.
I will face winter and its wrath
to keep you here with me.
As summertime morphs into winter
I will fight so our souls will combine and
transcend this material world,
so that when winter comes
I face it with you.

I knew you loved me,
not just the superficial kind of
Love we see in movies
or read about in books -
the type with no bumpy roads
and with perfect endings.

No.

You loved me with the real kind of love,
raw, true, real, imperfect,
felt somewhere deep inside your soul -
the type where turbulence rocked our
spaceship and where stars sometimes
didn't shine. That kind of Love.

I knew because you trusted me
at times when I didn't even trust myself.

You collect your ammunition,
piece
by piece
by piece
and wait until
the time is right.
Then you let go of it all
and an extra few.

Each bullet
pierces
my soul
and my heart,
leaving scars.

The old scars
heal up
but
I give birth to new ones.

It pierces,
piece
by piece
by piece
until
eventually

nothing remains.
