A line exists between enchanting and haunting,
That can only be drawn by my feelings.
Throughout the nights unto the mornings,
I spill love for you with my wordings.

In hopes that some of them you might read,
My poetry lives, because my heart it bleeds.

And my heart it bleeds because of you,
Because of you my words have a muse.

When you left me,
I found someone
Better to love:

*Myself.

He made me
Believe we could
Live Forever;

But turns out
Our naive love
Couldn't either.

One day you'll
Walk in, to fill
My life with meaning;
And I will be in awe.

That's when I'll
Ask myself how
Did I exist without
Knowing you at all?

Hard working people
don't lack negativity;
They lack apathy.

Never look for a love that's perfect,
Nothing ever is;
Try looking for a love that's permanent,
Sometimes it exists.

I wait, no more
Because you've crushed
My hope.
Your true intent,
Time has timely
Disclosed.

This game you've started
I'm playing
No more.
Now I'm leaving you,
For a new hope
To grow.

Sometimes they say
The person you love
Won't reciprocate with
The same intensity.

But no one ever
Says love is fair;
Still I choose to be
Loved by you, only.

Never will I forget what you did to me,
With patience and love, you mended my wings.
You were ready to let me fly free,
But I knew my heart would only sink.

You gave me the gift of independence,
From my heavy and deeply rooted woes.
Life is wonderful, no longer am I broken,
I understand why you want to let me go.

But being with you, I learned a few things--
To love truly means not to love selfishly.
I wasn't meant for you, your mind repeats,
I'll fly away, but my heart is yours to keep.
