South-by-Southwest
Once upon a time
Not so very long ago
I was wishing upon a star
Watching Mary's lamb
With down as white as blow

I laughed at Country Boy Eddie
For hours it must have been
We'd been up all the night
Indulging in our sin

They said we were full of crime
I said we were doing time
They were about to leave
Until I made another line

We laughed at Country Boy Eddie
For hours on an end
Daylight came creeping in
It was time to make amends

If you every saw the flick
"Once upon A Time In The West"
It was a western made
Perhaps it was the best

Brutal man can be
unlimited it seems to see
For Country Boy Eddie was laughing now
And he was laughing back at me

All the laughing stopped
There in the morning mists
It was a time to collect the debts
And sadly were they ever ******

There would be no tomorrow
No more credit would they let extend
An eye for just an ounce
See how far the bones will bend

A life for no more than a pound
A bullet between the eyes
From the boys that
Wear perpetual frowns ,
"It's time to say goodbye!"

There was no more laughing
Except on the TV screen
Country Boy Eddie was hee-hawing to himself
The morning now serene

The ocean ripples
little kisses to golden
gentle tender shore

Whilst the orange sun
dips behind winter trees where
it glows so lovely

Lamp post stand so still
Like masters of universe
Glowing up at night

And I sit in car
My belly rumbling like
a big volcano

House roofs like lego
Different sizes everywhere
Blocking out the sky

And a crow sits on
aerial listening to
the waves of tv

And I sit down
Around a wooden table
And eat a big feast

PS
Hecate,
When I was off and gone world weary
Weeping sorrowful in winter
I called on you to help and spare me sorrow.
Now that it is spring, it is now
My duty,
Sweet, sweet magical maiden fair
To grant you help in all you seek.
For you, master of magic, mistress of mythos
Can not fathom that which is the greatest magic,
The one within even mere mortals.
Love, Hecate. Love.
I know that I am one to talk,
Having broken free of the shackles that were formerly Hera’s,
But you, sweet Hecate, must not be mistaken as we are.
In your eyes sits the light of a thousand suns, burning with joy and potential to be,
You cannot subject yourself to these mortal pains, these mortal errors,
These wounds of the flesh as he does.
For he will lead you down a path rarely survived,
Rarely survived truly,
He will walk you into depths of sorrow,
Your own Hades, sweet Hecate.
He will lead you to question the very meaning of yourself,
The very essence of who it is that you are.
You are stronger than a mortal,
As any oracle will tell you,
As any of my court will attest.
He maintains such a level of power over you
That he makes fools of gods and spares no souls,
He has taken you for something silly and of that nature too.
But Hecate, you know this, a spell of love is just a spell
And so driven are you like Apollo before you, so driven with love
That you’ll cast it.
It is not yours to cast, that is Eros’ part and doing so would cause the world to shift out of balance.
But you will do it anyway, Hecate, for I know you well.
I shall leave you with this, and this truly,
Bad things happen to mortals who mess with gods.

A serial killer was captured.
On the day of his trial, he looked at the crowd,
And abandoned them without regrets, saying:
"Such is my mission."

A lion was set loose.
He killed and maimed everything at sight.
Coming to his beloved lioness, he ate her, saying:
"Such is my desire."

The Sun at his very last days,
Initiated his vendetta against mortality.
He consumed every particle in his grasp, saying:
"Such is my nature."

he has a penchant
for tinkering with stuff
if given half the chance
he'd tinker with his navel fluff

I've seen him tinkering
with working order stuff
that doesn't need any tinkering
put upon its cuff

some while back he
decided to have a tinker
with a room partition at the hall
and as a result of his
non essential tinkering
down came the east facing wall

tinkering is an occupation
of the tampering ******
unnecessarily touching stuff
with an interfering fiddle

Just for show
it was just it,
nothing more.
clear skies,
while clouded eyes
and more spoken lies.

Just for show
yet again,
blame on me
what am I to be?
I cannot be free,
I still care.

Just for show
lets pretend
cry inside,
smile outside,
picture perfect
with no defect.

Just a little more left to show
and then I will go
                         away
