Do you mean to be so alluring?
I'm not sure if you know what you're doing
To me. I see something in the way to speak
To me. I'd take it any day of the week,
But I don't know if you're really giving,
Or if this is just you being silly.
I hope you're aware and taking notice
Of all the things, I thought you'd know this.
If this is a dream then I hope you don't wake me,
But if it's not then I think I need a shaking.
It can't be real.
I'm yours to steal.
You make it feel
Oh so surreal

We all have a place
that we keep
(just in case)
our hord
or our stash
our clutter.

Things that had purpose
or by some chance
may be used again.
Oddities and nic nacks
Old candles and keys
obsolete rechargers and batteries
cables and thimbles,
coins of foreign currencies
manuals and letters and lint.

And they are stored
in shoeboxes,
beer crates
bottom drawers
wardrobes,
on garage shelves
or in hearts.

The Poetry Peddler
I would walk a thousand miles
to possess a thousand of your smiles

I would paint a thousand skies
to see my soul within your eyes

I would challenge heaven above
to be the recipient of your love

I would beat a thousand thugs
if you'd heal me with your hugs

Satan himself I would face
just to feel your warm embrace

When reality bubbles up and
Bursts into myriads of sparkly
Particles disintegrated because
Your core cannot hold them together
By the thread of meaning
What is left of experience?
Does letting go of predictability
Inside the dome of your inner sky
Lets you fly kites
Or threatens with annihilation?
When I look into another set of eyes
I am so often afraid to see
The bottom, small bits of depth
Scattered around thin like dust and last year's
Crumbs, or desire to elevate
By the thread of illusion
Above someone at least,
Someone who would allow,
Because inside the hollow space holds scale,
A chest of fear and a guard called shame
I am afraid to see
Seeing is one thing I cannot hide
Punished by it over and over again
Naively and stubbornly, I refuse to use it
Connection hurts those who lack the chip
They demand, unaccepting
Why can't you be like us?
Follow the rules we know?
I try not to look at them,
Preserve peace of their dream
Where connection never existed
The food that sustains my spirit
I can't see them, your rules
lost instructions, lost in translation
deliberately, even in the native tongue
I wish to escape this world
To find the truth that sticks
Yet love holds me close to earth
It expands and multiplies
Grows as it gives,
I wish to offer everything there is
Of me, and dissolve
In the chain of destinies
Craftful creation of some
Universal pattern
strawberry pickin, cake bakin, ****** mary drinkin, really can't complain, skinny self-absorbed alien that I am;)

As sure as David wrote some Psalms
As sure as babies have to yawn
As sure as sunlight keeps us warm
You are my rainbow in the storm!

As sure as stars shed twinkling light
As sure as day follows the night
As sure as wrong opposes right
You've given me the strength to fight!

As sure as leaves fall down from trees
As sure as skies are blue as seas
As sure as Jesus set us free
You'll always have a friend in me!

As sure as flowers bloom in Spring
As sure as angels have to sing
As sure as Jesus is the King
You have given my soul wings!

As sure as reeds bow down and bend
As sure as Tempests have to end
As sure as Trails wind and wend
You'll always have a Praying friend!

As sure as leaves fall down from trees
As sure as Saints pray on their knees
As sure as Jesus set us free
You'll always have a friend in me.

I sent this poem to Daystar television network. They've always been very faithful to pray for me. But it could apply just as easily to Hello Poetry! You really are a wonderful group of people! Thank you!

how the words might
at once catch the just right sound
or the rhythm of the right word
and go off on their
way

or resound in your ear your mind
and not mean anything
or find an ear in a pauper
or a paper bag
a

right proper and profound
time the right time the right
now the
almost forsaken
day

then again, if you listen,
correctly, have the heartbeat in mind,
the earths time beats
in memory and
the

last days and last means and
what is inside
what wells up
when you but listen

might be a faint
crackle a shy breath
a tree limb bending a leaf
you hear

or the faintest
heartbeat

it doesn't matter what is written
not the theme or scheme or any words left out or
those you put in
it's all like one big game
show me yours I show   you mine
the most beautiful flower can go unnoticed
in the desert the
sounds drowned in
the plusses

**** smoke and alcohol on pavements
dreams melting under lamp posts at night
weak veins
broken hearts and broken minds
with no home to sleep tonight
memories of someone you used to be
haunting your shutting off brain.

how did you get here?

Freedom is the illusion feeding spirits
lost in 37.5% alcohol drinks,
laughing faces with no happiness within,
flying minds with broken wings,
forgetting the pure air
breathing in the dust taking you to a better place ,
blindly stepping the path leading to a bottomless pit.

are you alright?

going on trips with monsters eating your soul
everytime losing a bit more of yourself
this ocean your're sailing, darling,
is full of enchanting mermaids
you're listening again to their song
falling in their killing arms.
you're dying again.

hey, can you hear me?

No place for guardian angels
Death's whisper is all I can hear at night
everything it's fading
high flying you are
in intoxicated clouds.

hey, are you still there?

**** smoke and alcohol on pavements
drunken souls
drowning in the shadow
of the big city's lights.

*hello, please, come back to live.
