I wonder if anyone listens,
but it doesn't really matter.

She's beautifully chaotic
a whirlwind of makeup and hoopla
she'll kick bushes on her way;
to a can of beer and a good comic book

Way back when in Bible times,
Being a ***** was like a crime.

But you'd think with today's many advances,
We'd offer more people second chances.

Today we have lepers all around.
But no one helps them stand their ground.

They come in different shapes, sizes, forms.
Black, white, yellow, orange.

Homosexuals, transgender, maybe different than you.
They're all human beings, respect them too.

Don't hate because they have darker skin, being yourself is not a sin.

Don't hate because someone is in the wrong clothes.
It's not your choice, that's just how it goes.

And remember just how lucky you are, getting married at the altar.
While maybe two women or men somewhere near.
Are living together with one great fear.

You can get married, so why can't they?
Why do opinions get in the way?

Just tell me what's wrong with accepting everyone?
Do you think war, prejudice, and tragedy's fun?

Change can be hard, but change can be good.
Make the world become what it should.
I'm not naive enought to think we'll change anything anytime soon. But if not now, when?
Success is a part of attempt
Failure is a part of success

I failed to save another soul today.
On my high patrol, I heard their last gasps leave their lips,
and I let their salvation get away
slipping through my super-powered fingertips.

If I can write assurance to a thousand souls lost, humorous and witty
"If I muster all the words that I know," I thought, "Surely I can save this city."
But life can't be measured by honeyed words, and it's agony to see
the souls' salvations that I'm missing beneath my red-caped nobility.

Even if I flew higher still, with my cape waving proud and free,
no great power I could bring to bear could match my responsibility.
For every orphan girl I save, there's another not too far afield.
For every chain broken, for every freed slave, there are chains that will not yield.

I'd fly around the world and turn back time, but I know t'would be in vain.
What's a single Superman to do, when the whole world cries to be saved?

DC raw love
if you say you don't love me
lock the door and throw away the key

when i dream at night, i dream of you and me
please don't turn your back on me
your the only thing to see

we've come so far
please stay with me
which i pray to god for everyday

save all your love for me
give me something to believe in

I read your words
They speak to me
Of course they are written
To my soul
My heart leaps
At the thought of you
Caring enough to make me real
I read your words
Of want and need
Of the existence and fear of love
Concrete, in black and white
It must be me who has moved you
Thoughts betraying logic
Though, I am the one
Tip toeing near and far
I am the one
Who knows I am being missed
For I am missing you
I read your words
And it just has to be me
They are mine
They live in me
They move me
I have claimed them for my own
As they must have been written
To me
For me
In desire and love for me
I breathe them in
My heart is alive
Yes, I have claimed them for my own

It is so easy to read poetry personally, as it is so personal by design. Ah, sometimes, when it's right and the stars are aligned, i can crawl in your words and wrap myself in the feel of them.

They know,
They notice,
They see,
What you don't see,
I'm jealous,
Upset,
Don't play dumb,
Running back to me when 'I'm fun',
I know my self worth,
Flirting with every girl you can find,
Playing with thoughts in my mind,
I see you with her,
And her,
And another her,
How many more are there,
Who are they,
What am I?
Just another one of those,
Ain't One of those hoes.
Sometimes the harsh words subside pain. Sorry for profanity, but its what I need.

Where does it end
Hell on Earth
Hell in dreams
Hell in death
where is heaven
where is peace
searching amongst this hatred, anger, violence
nothing but Hell
where does it end
