Hands like soft sandpaper graze my skin
Leaving trails of heat like sunlight
You placed your collage of kisses

                                     Here

                                                                           And here

       Also here

Like a treasure map all over my body
That eventually leads to my raw lips
That smile because those pale purple marks
Are play buttons that let me relive that moment

Petal pie
Preparing the ground
in this fertile mind
putting down roots
with the fervour I’ve found

Digging down deep
planting thought bulbs
hope will rise up
Their green shoots will
abound

Picking petals one by one
Counting every blessing seen
Rainbows on the wooden fence
Still life painted in a dream

Hedges run a distant mile
Shaped as every promise shown
Cutting corners of the lost
Happiness in what is grown

I’m cutting back the choking weeds
of doubt and negativity
And moving on the slugs and snails
that stunt my productivity

With mind over matter
this garden will bloom
this change is organic
and normal service
will not resume
(who wants to be normal
anyway?)

I’ve been sowing seeds
with faith love and prayer
In ground once barren
songs will blossom there

Melodies fragrant and free
Tiny sprouts of grand design
Break the soil seeking light
Flourishing for it is time

*Sing with me my garden friend
Walk along my winding path
Smell the beauty on the wind
Life shall be the aftermath
been doing more gardening lately and its a great space for thinking and the spirit! Thanks for writing with me

They're dragging the ground.
Not all its CRACKed up to be
Pull up your pants kid!
A plumber you are not.

A U-turn is all it took to drift away
Hitting the wrong lane
Dangerous pursuits

Where are my t-shirts?
Lucy wearing them to bed
Life has changed again.
It starts all over again with grand daughter Lucy 5. She does look cute.

Let me kiss lips that are like ember
Let them smother me like smoke
Let them fill me like air

Let me wrap my arms around you like a ribbon
Let them hold you like clouds
Let them bind you like string

Let me love you like infinite stars
Let it intertwine us like lace
Let it shower us like pouring rain

Shy smiles
lite up the sky.
Let go of the past
and said good-bye
Friends pop up
and now say Hi!
It's good to see Sye.
Way up high.
Written on a scrap of paper
Tony found under the sofa.

Nature welcomes you with an embrace
The wind playfully caresses you
And the crescent moon still visible
And the sun playing hide-n-seek
About to rise, coloring the flaming sky
In the amphitheater of celestial sphere
There is the drama unfolding of a new day
All the spectators, waking to the spectacular
Applauding, as a tribute to the grand illustration
Of abstract paintings, with a rich hue
Dawning on us whith a new plot to enact
The sunrise guiding us with a new ray of hope
Birds leading the way, helping us dream
To reach higher and cross new horizons
I am also a spectator in the crowd
Thronging to face life, as new day has dawned*

Rains lashing down
The thunderous clouds
Applauding every drop
The clouds have opened up
Their hearts to bring hope
To the parched souls on Earth
The seeds have been lying dormant
It’s time for them to germinate
Covering our garden with greenery
For it will find roots in the soul
Deeply entrenched with belief
That every shower does not wreak havoc
It also ushers new life and hope*
