Since I heard your smile
Or felt beautiful reflected in your eyes

The warmth of your skin
Is a vibrant memory
That tucks me in at night

It's the only reason
I bother trying to sleep

Memories taste sour
When waking
From the reality of dreams

Something bigger than I am,
those shoulders over mine

cannibalizing time,

Someway it's worth one's while
seizing bubbles from reverie
and in between no crime,
starving now and then

What comes by nature grows,
poignant embrace to abide by.
To sharpen up a stem to a lilac rose
leaves bewildered but crucially alive
it's just my thought...

But first I am
real and here
on my own to venture onward.

I love the way
his lips curl
and his eyes crinkle
whenever he smiles

I love how
he makes silly faces
and laughs so loud
whenever he's with me

He would randomly call
at random times
just to hear my voice
and for me to hear his

It was those
midnight talks
with him that
made me fall harder-

I was madly in love.
He would sing
me songs to sleep
and kiss me goodnight

He would hold
my hand
and hug me tight.
How I loved those moments.

Those moments
that I wished
could last forever
but they didn't.

I thought I finally
found the one
I'd spend the rest
of my life with

But I was
blind enough to believe
that I could have
a fairytale of my own.

Oh, and darling
If you asked
for water
I'd bring you the ocean

upon awakening
from the abyss
of my darkest dreams
I did my best
to stifle my inner screams...
