Feelings shall be heard dear
Passing from heart to head
Whispered gently between souls

~

I am lost…
wandering aimlessly
among towering pines,
sweeping branches
of shaded bliss
leaving pine cone markers
along a soft needled path

The breeze is cool,
fragrant wisps through
clinging vines braided
in abstract patterns
as I try to gather
my bearings

I can see the sun
through the forest
falling lower in the sky
reflecting on the
calm flowing waters
of this small stream
I have been following
for what seems to be hours

Carp and minnows,
orange, black and gray
swim happily
with little care though
I am becoming worried now,
my body aches from the walking
but it feels good
the air is still sweet
as I hear an owl
in the darkness
of the treed canopy
greeting me

I come to a clearing,
tall grasses sway
and I see the sunset
blooming like a prized rose,
petals awash in bright pastels
on the horizon

I sit for a spell
gazing upon the
wonders of nature,
thinking back on
what I have seen,
what I have experienced
and what I am witnessing
right now and finally realize

I am not lost at all…
*I am found
Close your eyes
Its time to die
The little death
*We die each night

this is for every conversation where I hesitated
and each instant I second-guessed myself
for all the moments that should have been
and every "what if" that I've over-thought
I've lost so many opportunities
from choosing to say nothing one too many times,
and what I meant hid behind closed lips
so instead my silence spoke too loud
but hopefully you're listening now
and these unspoken truths will finally be heard
so this language between us of misunderstandings
might finally be able to be put into words

-The Name That Should Never Be Spoken*

I know you still think about him. and I'm sorry to tell you that you still will. the color green will never be the same for you and you'll still flinch every time you hear his name. and I'm so sorry because he doesn't give a crap about you. no matter how many times you change your outfit in the morning for the slim chance he might remember your name.

he won't. he will never.

you're just another girl that's infatuated with him. you're just another victim. stop being a victim. he's not worth it. loving him is not worth it. love isn't supposed to hurt that much. I know we don't have that much experience in the love department but I know you're not supposed hate loving someone. you're so dumb for giving every part of yourself to him. didn't you realize there was nothing left. didn't you realize that you started to become a shadow of who you once were, but even that was fading. I know it hurts and it still does. you won't even bring yourself to say his name, so don't. because he is not worth it. he was a waste of time.

you deserve someone who will love you back and will actually remember your name. you deserve someone who will touch you without even putting his hands on you. you deserve someone who could take off your party dress and see the memories and heartaches and laughs laced into your skin along with the dreams and hopes. you deserve someone who's strips away all of the anger you have underneath your pores because that's all you really wanted to take off.

1.  If the enemy is in range, so are you.

2.  Incoming fire has the right of way.

3.  Don't look conspicuous, it draws fire.

4.  There is always a way.

5.  The easy way is always mined.

6.  Try to look unimportant, they may be low on ammo.

7.  Professionals are predictable, it's the amateurs that are
    dangerous.

8.  The enemy invariably attacks on two occasions:

       a. When you're ready for them.
       b. When you're not ready for them.

9.  Teamwork is essential, it gives them someone else to shoot at.

10. If you can't remember, the claymore is pointed at you.

11. The enemy diversion you have been ignoring will be the main
    attack.

12. A "******* chest wound" is natures way of telling you to slow
    down.

13. If your attack is going well, you have walked into an ambush.

14. Never draw fire, it irritates everyone around you.

15. Anything you do can get you shot, including nothing.

16. Make it tough enough for the enemy to get in and you won't be
    able to get out.

17. Never share a foxhole with anyone braver than yourself.

18. If you are short of everything but the enemy, you are in a
    combat zone.

19. When you have secured an area, don't forget to tell the enemy.

20. Never forget that your weapon is made by the lowest bidder.

21. Friendly Fire Isn't.

And Mike's Three Corollaries:

1, Keep your head down.

2. Never pick up anything off the ground.

3. Never, ever, trust the locals, especially children.

I keep falling in love

I keep falling in love with the thought

of you falling in love with me, too.

And the memories came rushing
and lead me back to that unforgettable day i told myself that i was going to stop loving him because
he would never love me back anyway
i promised myself
to stop looking at him, even when every beautiful corner of his lips curved into that pretentious smirk
and so i told myself to stop getting goosebumps around every little inch of my body, even the most secret places
from his melodic laughter
and it was the toughest thing i've ever done
but being the hopeless romantic i am i
thought that love was just something to forget
and it wasn't before i saw you
years later with that other girl
i understood every love song i've ever heard about broken hearts
and every poem i've read about unrequieted love
and i realised that
i never really stopped loving you
Sorry for the bad spelling and grammar.. I don't usually write poems in english :)
