You tried to look in the mirror and you gazed at your own eyes
Not just a face you saw but a reflection of the past
You got lost many times, not only once, not just twice
Triumphs laced with mistakes, crowning failures that got surpassed

You stared at the reflection in front of you and saw a space
In it was a mix collection of your joys and your fears
You gazed once more at the woman’s more serene face
Another room was lit with a lot of held back tears

How many years have you forgotten and known yourself
Oh! Fret not for as long as it has taken back to you
For you  have begun to retrace each and every step
So that you could finally mutter to the woman in the mirror
“I love you!”

Congratulations! You now know your beautiful truth
That self-love truly throbs and runs deep in accepting who’s you
That giant tides will be tamed and all storms will be gone
If your soul is your truth, and your heart is your light

To finish your own life by hand,
May seem like the right thing to do.
But to free yourself from this land,
Is to imprison those that love you.

Letting go of all my things

Living
In the moment
Seeing what life brings
Living
Where you can actually hear
the birds sing
Walking in my bare feet
Not on concrete
Living
Where there is dirt streets
Where you can see the sky and earth meet
Feeling the suns heat
Living
In my one room suite
Where the animals are the elite
Raising what I eat
Using a log as my seat
Living
Where I do not have to impress
Where everyday is not a repeat
Where I do not have to compete
Evereyday feeling content and complete
Living
Where very few as walked through
Where there is trust in you
Living
Where not many have stood
Miles and miles of woods
Where living is pure and good
Living
Making things from my  hands
Knowing it will stand
Where everyday is not planned
Living
Where you can take a clean breath
Where
You can take a rest

when we are young we practice love
though we know not a whit thereof

each pang we suffer our heart askew
must be certain sign of love most true

each time our heart is cut and bruised
is a lesson taught of love misused

a stern instructor of teenage years
life keeps teaching through our tears

but pain and sorrow are love’s only school
we must attend if we would learn this rule

it’s not love itself which does us wrong
but the lying tongue and deceiving song

no love gone bad is not to blame
it’s a selfish heart to which love’s a game
Written primarily about teenage love, but the lesson holds true

You said "no way it can't be done"
you've never seen the power of one

When the fire was lit to drive me more
I called on God with all  that lay before

It started with a spark to get it going
They look and asked "what is she doing"

I did it for the one that needed a voice
The innocent one who they said had no choice.

They called  me stubborn and even a pain
I don't mind for  I'll do it again.
We are often given opportunities to make a difference. For love of another, for compassion for the less fortunate, the abandoned.  Once who are victims.  It only take one person at a time , making small changes.

Desire
Consideration for others
is an act of generosity -- how thoughtful!
Conforming to others
is an act of suicide -- how awful!
Don't **** yourself for the approval
of others or their opinions and views.
You're worth so much more
than what they say or think of you.
