If you're ever feeling sad
If you're ever feeling down
If you ever cease to smile
And you begin to frown.

If you're ever feeling lonely
If you're ever feeling blue...
Just know that I'm right here
And I'm willing to help you.
Often there are people all around us wishing to help us with whatever problems we may have, and we overlook them or shrug them off.

We're building a snowman
And it's not going well.
The snow just won't pack
And nobody will help.

It's cold and it's wet.
The ground underneath's muddy.
And we're sitting here wishing
That instead it was sunny.

The neighbor kids come
Saying they want to play
But only as long as
We do it their way.

They kick the snow 'round
And start a big fight.
Shove our faces in snow
'Til they're all white.

When we ran away,
They screamed, "No fair!"
"That's not in the rules!
You must stand there."

They kick down our snowman
And when we start crying,
They make Boo-Hoo faces,
And tell us, "Stop whining!"

The sun starts setting.
They all are called home.
We are left standing
In snow-dust alone.

Oh, we hate those darned neighbors
And their kind of fun.
From now on, we decide
How our happiness is run.
I tried to write this one as a metaphor. Often in the world, we seek help from others, only to have them tell us how we're doing it wrong. Then, they step in and show us the "right" way, often destroying something that makes us happy, and spit in our face when we become upset about the way they run things. Every man should be left to himself.
Body aches,
muscles pull.
Feeling empty,
never full.

Mind races,
thoughts fly.
Tears falling,
hearts soaring high.

Caught in a moment,
lost in time.
Addicted to it a feeling,
a temporary high.

You're on top of the world,
then lower than your feet.
Feel like a millionaire,
but lose everything in a heartbeat.

Up and Down,
round and round.
Never being able
to find solid ground.

Aching for freedom,
but a slave to the rush.
Screaming in anguish
at the power of your lust.

It's hard to break free
when the high is so sweet.
But be careful to find it
for you may lose your feet.
Some addictions are too sweet to let go of.

How do we fall?
This question quietly sits
In my head as
My eyes rest on your lips
It is astounding, how the air quietly closes around us
Entombing us in the time that exists between the words
That at this point seem superfluous given the state of my mind
I am currently in free fall waiting for something to catch
And I continue to grasp
Yet it is in vain
For the way your hair falls from your braid
Has dissolved all ground beneath me
How could you look at me in that way
That buckles my knees
I do not know how I am carrying on
For I am falling without hope of ever getting up

And suddenly, I miss the winter.
At least then we had a reason to be cold.
Rainy nights in small cosy homes,
music that gives you feelings,
and warm tea with your better half of your being.

Getting caught with tears in your eyes
in unexpected and overwhelming floods of gratitude when you look at someone and realise
"I love this person and they love me too".

Hearing a song that gives you
that feeling.
You can't explain what it feels like
but you get drunk off of it
every time
you hear that song again.

Being held by someone that just melts away.
every.
single.
worry.
and makes you question why you ever complain about your life.

Finding a moment where you just feel
content.
Where everything just looks more colourful and the breeze feels just right and your footsteps are beating out a new song along with your heart.

These moments and everything in between are what makes life worth living for.
So take your moment,
right now,
and make it worth every beat that your heart makes.
Just reaching a point in life where everything feels right. I don't know how long it will last for but I'm going to make  it count.

Life will never be easy.
Love will never be easy

You have to fight for the things you want.

I put up a fight for a long time.
It's the giving up part thats not exactly easy.

How do you fall out something just as fast as you fall into it.
I hope you meet a person,
any person,
who makes your heart beat
in tune with your favourite song.

I hope their laugh becomes
your favourite melody,
and that their breathing
turns into your new lullaby.

I wish for you the amazing miracle
of meeting someone that makes you
feel like you have orchestras
in your chest.

I hope you have the privilege of
finding a person,
any person,
that gives you a reason to sing.

Because right now there is someone
who's looking at you
and they're busy having an affair
with the music that you are.
You know when a song gives you that feeling?  You know what it feels like but you can't explain it and you love it so much? I hope to one day meet someone that makes me feel the same way music does.

my body is boiled down to liquid
creamy with memories and sharp with tears
you take in the bitter drink to forget your woes
by digesting all of mine
i am the alcohol
all the pictures that you've thrown
every piece of clothing with seams and strands exposed
all the nights when you've gone home feeling so alone
its at this hour all those drinks have lost their trick
and you're curled up into your bed listening to the clock as it ticks
becoming fixed on its pattern and rhythm until thats all that you know
you count every second as you begin to show
your true form once outer skin sheds in a horrifying transformation
and your eyes lose their grip on liquid sanity
you've regressed to weeping child
your underdeveloped mind has made a poor decision
and your small liver cannot process this many pills
your death will come as shocking and traumatizing to many
they'll drink to forget their woes
going home yet another night alone
listening to their clock as it ticks
wishing they could hold onto you now
rather than a bottle of a temporary fix
as they count the seconds since they've heard you laugh
they look up at their ceiling fan
and feel so empty
