Table For Two
Internal affairs of
Conflict and resolution
Rarely ever assume
Internal happiness.

The mind allows
Sanctuary to the
Starving thoughts
That so desperately
Hope to achieve total
Control through
Never ending savagery
And pestering pessimism.

I close my eyes
I see your face
Your eyes so bright
I’m in a daze

I look out the window
And there I see
You walking in the distance
Looking at me

I feel this feeling
And I know
That our love is special
And it will only grow

I step outside and walk in the rain
Wind in my face and rain on my mane
My eyes are misty and still I see
You’re beautiful face smiling at me

I’m singing, dancing madly in the rain
Walking, running, crazy, insane
Those who watch me, they hardly know
What’s making me happy, why my heart glows

They think I’m a fool, that may be true
I’m a fool in love, and I don’t have a clue
It’s raining, pouring; I don’t know where I am going
All I know is I miss you, I love you, and that’s really true.

Surely
I am but a wisp of smoke
Swirling boundless
To and fro

Out of the fire
A non-corporeal host

Stinging eyes
Burning nose
Cough me out
Or start to choke

Surely
I am but a wisp of smoke

Another cloud
Another soul
Into thin air
Watch me flow

Out the window
And down the road!

Surely I was
A wisp of smoke...

They all say that rain
cleanses the soul,
Yet I don't see anyone
on a rainy stroll.

Instead they run from it,
like it's gonna bite,
It won't,
unless they're flying a kite.

Sure you may,
get a bit wet,
What's the big deal?
At least it's not sweat.

So you won't
need to shower at home,
If you like your hair,
just bring a good comb.

But remember,
it's just plain old rain,
Don't run from it,
it's all in your brain.

A sunshiny shower
Won’t last half n hour.

French fries and thick thighs
Makes a man sigh sigh sigh
Calico cats and ransacked rooms
Make a man blue blue blue
Tickling ivories wells somethin inside me.,
A guitar tuned flat.
Needs are nothing but fever dreams
That's all and that is that.

when he says he wants to put you
in a poem, don't believe he'll
put your petals to his nose, inhale gently,
and enumerate the tickling scents
waltzing in his nostrils.
believe he'll put your stem to his tongue
lick the thorns slowly
to open his masochistic
metallic blood.
believe that he'll spit
that blood on the floor
or in a teacup to
sit out for hummingbirds.
believe he'll paint you
naked in verse
clothe you in meter
and strip you once more.
believe that no poem
is refuge
and that your ugliness
and his ugliness
will not make a poem
beautiful.

Years go by
I miss the touch
The feeling of her warmth
Love fills the air
Nothing else matters  but you
Your lips on mine
I leave all my pain behind
Just let go
Take my broke heart
Can  you fix me?
