Lying in your embrace
Staring face to face
Do you think it's destiny;
This world fond of mystery,
found someone like you ?

Do you think this love
is something we'll always share?
I think the world should know
that I've found someone to care

Moments stopped in time
and everything's just fine
You're everything I could care for
and there's nothing left to find

Let me hold your hand
For as Long as I can
Because these memories
Are all that I am :)
Not a poet of all things
But listen to this tale
Glisten to the joy it brings
Or just enjoy me fail

Made this for the girl I love
Her smile non can compare
She is all that I have
Yet she’s been in despair

For you see my fair lads
Life’s been quite unfair
Like a knife to the throat
And a jab to gloat

She lies in her nightmare
Her eyes in sorrow
With tears made by fear
Her spirit shattered and hollow

Scorched, tired and withered
She wishes to leave this place
For she has been tortured
Her happiness to embrace

This is the girl I love
She is all that I have
And all that I want

And If I could spare her pain
I’d be with her till the end of days
Whether suns turn to rain
And the moons reflect my bane

This is the girl I love and
I’ll be with her till the end of her pain
At one time
Every atom in your body
Belonged to a star
A beautiful burning
Ball of hydrogen in space
In the first grade
When they gave you
Those stickers that read
'You're a Star'
They weren't lying
So when I wish for a star
I'm really just wishing for you
And maybe
You'll be wishing
On that very same star
For me too.
She is hurting.
her lips dance a pretty smile,
while her heart calls for death.
She lives in fear of being alone
because that's all that she's ever known.
Her simple eyes are constantly swimming in a sea of salt,
and drowning in a pool of fear.
Her innocence is lost
along with her mind.
She dreams of being able to speak without her thoughts being restrained by shackles.
Every night, the moment she lost her soul plays over
and over again.
And each time she starts to feel, she is reminded of all the times she lost a piece of her heart.
The eternal silence in her mind
blinds her every chance to be happy.
She can't ever sit still because the last time she stayed in place
she lost it all.
There she stood as her life slipped between the cracks.
As she watched her happiness fade away
the light that was once in her eyes flooded down the drain like the soap you rinse from your body.
And she is numb.

Shy girl
Hiding behind
Thick lenses
Dark frames

Shy girl
Hiding behind
Thick books
Long pages

A boy
Across the room
Fruitful glances
Stuttered glances

The boy
Across the room
Likes her back
So I went out to an empty field
And screamed out your name to the sky
But the sun didn't seem
To have any desire to help me

So I flew to the moon
and I cried to the stars
But my wishing star is dead
There's nothing left but the ashes

So I ran a thousand miles
To reach out for you

But you left me

I shouted out your name
But you didn't care
Frankly, I secretly hope that you love me back
Sometimes you
learn the most when
you stop paying attention
and start listening.
My professor said
something in the middle
of her lecture that caught
my attention so much,
I wrote it down.
the cause of all suffering
is desire.
If only I could
stop my heart from
beating, every time
he says my name.
And will always be
what my dreams are made of.

Hello, my friend.
...Why think like that?
Now, be assured,
I'm not that bad
There's nothing wrong with having fun
Though, once you do, you cannot run
...Did I forget to mention that?
Oh, well, too late
Guess that's too bad

Ah, from the start, it felt so good
But you were trapped there where you stood
You played the game
Now you are mine
I have to thank you for your time

Another down
A point for me!
Who will play next?
I guess we'll see

*from my Emerge collection, being poem #6.

Snare was and remains one of my favorite poems I have ever written.
It was the first truly deeply personal poem I'd ever written, and of the first I truly enjoyed writing or was genuinely inspired to write--of the first I was lead to write by The Holy Spirit.
At least 2 or 3 years after its original creation, I vastly expanded Snare into a song complete with vocal melody accompanying a full and elaborate lyric. While existing mostly in voice recording form, written text, or simply in my head, I also have had many different ideas for instrumental parts, effects, a music video, an album cover, and more, if it were ever to reach that point of being completely produced in the form in which I envision its true fulfillment. The song version is one of my favorite songs I have ever written, and quite possibly in fact my #1 favorite. It is also, by far, the longest song I have ever written with finished lyrics & vocals to. When completed and recorded, it would likely clock in at 6 minutes or longer, as an epic, despite being one of my shortest poems in its original form.
