Hope surges upward from your core and to the heart. It warms your blood as your heart crushes into itself twice every second and unbelievably, your mind starts to think of a million and one possibilities. Your hand tingles and finally, after what seemed like eons, you think you are feeling hope again. You start suppressing it out of reflex- an unconscious, uncontrollable action. You push it down, right back to the void it came from but its too late and your lips are curving upwards into a gentle smile. You anticipate euphoria -almost can feel it at the top of your fingertips and you finally let yourself believe and hope.

It comes crashing down without warning. For a second, you still smile because your mind could not process the disappointment yet. Then - hurt, sadness, shock - flits through your mind. You still hold on to your hope like a child who refuses to let go of candy. Your smile wavers. But just like grabbing onto handfuls of sand, hope will fall out through your tightly clasped fingers. You realised that your hold on hope is no longer and instead, it is replaced by cold, unforgiving reality.

Like an icy slap to your face, like an unexpected kick to the stomach, like a bite from a dog you have always love- that is how disappointment feels like.
my feelings are so poignant, i don't think i can ever express it adequately in words. but i tried.
They say, to be a bird is to be free
But have they ever considered how the birds feel?
Do they feel free?
They’re stuck in the same cycle every day
Don’t they feel tired or bored?
Their parents did the same things before
And their parents before them
Their just repeating
Again and again
Are birds really free?
Stuck in their cycle
With no change
Ignore this please -_-
When you breathe in you can feel the sharp spikes of winter
There goes another one, preparing for the winter Olympics, a dedicated sprinter
You can feel the quiet crunch of snow under your boots
You can see on the trees, the fresh winter fruits
Hear the branches swaying in the gentle breeze
The leaves brushing against each other slightly
You pull your scarf around your neck, giving it a small squeeze
Looking at the sky, you smile brightly
Another beautiful day, it might be

She burst into a dance
A fiery splatter of sparks
From the tips of her toes
Rhythm and tune in her movements
She flew around the floor with smoothness
Her dress twirling with her like flames
Her arms flailing in calculated moves
Her hair a fierce fire cracking behind her
She closes her eyes and takes a leap
The air soars past her ears and
Her feet touch the ground with grace

I move from right to left lazily
Everything around me is hazy
Sometimes a colourful passerby stops for a rest
Sometimes they stay, considering me as their nest
But they all leave over time
Some consider me as grime
Some love to nibble on my tips
All I rely on is my roots and their grip
The sun’s ribbons of light nurture me
They play through the waves as I admire their beauty
Some days it’s calm and quiet
And I can feel the warm sand in my roots
Sometimes is rough and rocks and pebbles rip through
All of those beautiful green stems I grew
But through it all, I grow back
To feel the beautiful warm sun touch my tips
And the soft touch of sea foams lips

In my blue wonderland
My fins touching the soft sand
The light reflecting in the sand like a diamond
The deeper I go the more mysterious it gets
It gets dangerous if I stop for any rests
But when it gets dark
The lights start
The beautiful creatures with their glowy skin
Neon lights shining and their glowing fin
The sea of different corals
A school of explorers
The deeper I go
The more I see an unnatural glow
A whole world under here
Yet I harbour no fear
Many dangers lurk around
But to this world I am bound
Nothing can tear me apart from this wonder
So much to see so much to discover
I think these thoughts as I go under

You hear the deadly thump
You reach up and feel the slight bump
You look at your hand, it’s a crimson red
In a few minutes you’ll be dead
A striking pain through your veins
You look at the deep sky and it rains
The rainwater in your wound
Falling to your knees you know you’re doomed
Oh, how you cherish life
You only remember that now you’re in strife
How you wish you could go back
But all that time is what you lack
With no more time to spare
You let the rain take you, without a care
