Loyalty

A flower so grand
in itself, vivid in
details, following no pattern
like the leaves of the plant.

All the leaves are the same
but a single flower so distinct
one does and the other doesn't
add to the plant's fame.

In its life of just a day, it steals the show
and spreads so much happiness
though the leaves may, in silence keep low,
diligently work for air's cleanliness.

Even then it sticks to the branch
as its life is given by
the apparently dreary plant.
Here, all its coming generations
will choose to be born,
and this plant only will they adorn.
We may be so much accomplished and successful in our life but we should not undermine the value of our roots, things which have helped us to reach where we are now.

Standing in this rain, getting soaked
*I sip the water trickling down my face

even this spoiled sweetness tastes so fine
quenching an unknown thirst
makes me high, disconnected from this polluted carnality
I slip away to that world of mine
*where only love thrives in a beautiful serenity

Their Songs

Never fall for a musician
Because even once they're out of your life
Their songs will still get stuck in your head
And it will break you
Again
Not seen by the outside world
Miserable invisible little girl
Hiding in the corners of her mind
Hoping there's nothing left of her to find
Listening to the silence of the voices
Regretting life and all her bad choices
Missing the happiness she once had
Considering it all, she's really mad
How could this have happened?
What did she ever do in her past life?
Pain cuts away her soul deep with a knife
Slicing the pieces that remain into shards
Dropping to the ground, breaking hard
There's nothing left of the past regrets
Now she can only pray that she forgets
