Jewels embedded in the starry night
The blackness devours the beads of light
An ocean of depthless inky darkness
A lurking place of fear and plight

But there’s something different about this dark
Perhaps it is the way the stars spark
Or the entrails it carves up above
For it speaks of journeys yet to embark

So join this night in its swing and sway
To bid farewell and welcome to the rising day
We’ll frolic to a place beyond our minds
To a place that exists far away

Here to waltz and twirl and entrance
To swirl and jump and turn and prance
For the sky is now beckoning tonight
To come join it in the moonlight dance

It seems like every night nature is dancing...

I Believe

I believe in the sycamore trees
As they cast their reflection upon the seas
They tower above us, tall and grand
The commandant of the untamed land

I believe in the whispering breeze
They travel the lands in burst full sprees
They swirl akin against an azure sky
A dance hidden from the human eye

I believe in the rising sun
A watchful mother bested by none
A warming presence waiting up high
A shining gemstone upon the sky

I believe in mellow humankind
Benign and tender in our mind
That we can bring some good to this life
To rid the world of worry and strife

When they leave a mark,
she grew —
she rose out of grief;
even outgrew some hidden scars,
find some glorious jams — out of scars, she later discovered, a shady gem.

When they leave a mark,
she grew —
she bred out of bare sounds;
she then understood the relevance
of empty promises — its words and its absence
the mere thought that grows with it.

She then leaves a scar;
some strain,
some courses of her daily life — some parts of her,
even when she did not become a part of theirs.

She then rose —
when they leave a mark.
we grow, we develop, we love, we leave traces of marks—some part of us.

but that handle was made for his hand
hand - handle
handle - hand

the fingers would close
around it to never let go
It had to have flesh around it
at all times
But the blade...
the blade was still naked. He couldn't let
the blade naked
It wasn't fair

"So that's why you stabbed your
mommy then?" the psychiatrist asked him.

"Yes," he said.

"The knife is more important
to you than mommy?"

"The knife listens. Mommy doesn't."

Right now, if you're feeling devoured by pain,
Remember that there was a drop of rain.
And because of this rain, a flower grows
And because of that flower, a girl's smile glows.
And because of that smile, a kiss is shared.
And because of that kiss, a bond is repaired.
And because of that bond, a new life comes to be.
And because of that life, this poem you see.
Because of this poem, I hope you feel warm
And know that I'm so very glad you were born.
In fact, I would love to come hug you, my Dear.
Please know that I'm so very glad that you're here. 💖
Today was a really good day. First good day in a long, long time. I hope you are well, and I wish you a wonderful day too. <3
