The weight of these words
rolling around in my head
are breaking my neck
one thought at a time.

i learnt the writer used
"i "
to express his or her's feeling of unimportance.

i promise you.
i've been texting my i's in lowercase letters ever since.

the room is a nursery
following the breakdowns
of all its residents at three
in the morning, it
whispers soft things
and peaceful melodies
and rocks them to sleep
when no one else will
You can memorize a thousand lines
And you can make a thousand people laugh
You can give time and a half
You can invite people to a world they’ve never been
You can fill their faces with mile long grins
You can hear the thunder of an applause
As hoots and hollers come out their jaws
But when the crowd leaves
When they take away their energy like thieves
It is then that you must return to yourself
When you must return to the person you are
And remember every single emotional scar
When your character goes to sleep
It is you who will have to weep
So you can memorize every line
You can do everything to make your character shine
But when the lights go out
Then you’ll be given back all of your doubt
Yet
If you decide that the lines are who you are
And you’re willing to go too far
Then perhaps the character never went to sleep
Maybe all you are is your characters built into a heap

Chaos
How is it that
Complete strangers
People I have never
Ever met before
Can make me feel
So much better
Than those I have known
Almost forever
your presence,
the only reason
that i am still alive

I hope you have a daughter
Just as beautiful as you
I hope she is an angel
And she makes your dreams comes true

I hope she falls in love one day
I hope their love is real
I hope she drives him mad with love
The way you made me feel

I hope she loves her culture
I hope she loves her God
I hope he doesn't fit the mold
The same way I was flawed

I hope she doesn't hide from you
And that you've helped her understand
True love transcends both faith and race
And it sure as hell's not planned

I hope you get to meet him
And see how he makes her smile
I hope that if she tells him yes
He can walk her down the aisle

The hardest thing I've ever done
Was giving you my heart
And being crushed as ignorance
Tore our love apart

I think somewhere down the line in our parents' efforts to give us everything they never had, they forgot to give us what they Did have~

Grandpa had grit
He knew how to fight
Not for sport
but for that which was right

Up at dawn
His trade was life
Doing what he must
Dusting off strife

He'd say "It's just a reminder
that we're all still alive"
He'd just square back his shoulders
and cut Hell down to size

All but gone are the days
of men standing strong
Everything's grey
there's no right or wrong

We sit back and wonder
where our glory days went
I saw them galloping towards purgatory
saddled with truth, upon common sense
