Thinking about getting a tattoo
But, I take pause...
Looking in the mirror
I see my body’s already covered
Marked in invisible ink
Every inch of my bare skin
Painted with the joy and pain of living
From my heart to my hips
Color faded here, but poppin’ over there
Memories designed by your hands
Others etched on my own
A collection that makes me smile
Among a few pieces I regret
So, about getting a tattoo...
I guess I’m not ready
Because I can’t think of a tattoo
Meaningful enough, yet
To write over any of the life I’ve lived

The hardest thing is migrating
from being the sun in one solar system
to another
it's a whole different universe

they each think I
am on the other side
not anymore

here in the center
all I see
is two long rows of swords

out in the open
with the others
I could stay forever

this will not be a gauntlet
till you learn to come together

I have learned that no one can keep a secret
because I always find it hitting me from another mouth

am
probably
"You"
in someone else's story

Those meant for you
Will love you truly
Pray for you seriously
Bare with you patiently
And believe you continuously.

Those meant for you
Will love you madly
Listen to you keenly
Advice you repeatedly
And love you unconditionally.

Those meant for you
Will love you faithfully
Fight for you furiously
Defend you fearlessly
And display you publicly.

Those Meant For You
Will love you blindly
Come to you hurriedly
Support you strongly
And work with you tirelessly.
What's yours is yours.

What other kind              of creature could divide
Each different thing             into its different sides
With chaos versus             order, dark and light
The stark duality of         wrong and right
We even split the very        world in two
With human versus human,       we and you
But still no matter how much      we divide
Each thing has infinitely many      sides
