Find yourself, they said
you will walk down unknown paths
with dragons and lava puddles
with a shield and an unbeatable armor

Find yourself, they said
you will face the biggest beasts
and find shelter in their ribcages
warming yourself with their hearts

Find yourself, they said
you will sleep in the meadow
with only the moon as your company
and the wolf howls as you sleep melodies

Find yourself, they said
you will dance naked
around a fire of cherry wood near the forest
of undiscovered creatures

Find yourself, they said
and you will bathe in infinite oceans
of comfort and color your skin
with the sunsets

Find yourself, they said
and you will be swept off your feet
by this deathly wave of what they call love

Find yourself, they said
strip every layer the society accumulated
on your center
and expose the skeleton that you harness
so shyly

Find yourself, they said
and you will find yourself
afloat on a cloud of comfort
shedding all sense of care

Find yourself, they said
and you will feast with Kings of confidence
and Queens of beauty
igniting forest fires of jealousy
amongst those who just don't know thee

Find yourself, they said
and all those birds will flock to your feather
even change their own patter to fit yours

Find yourself, they said
and you will treasures of self worth
that no
mirror
can
reflect
Thuds
I only knew
that I was a fool
when I left that bubble
and walked down a path of rubble

I asked my eyes
why they were so blind
I asked my mind
why his thinking was so behind

They refused to answer
and left one noise afloat
a beat that I know served as a moat
from all reason and logic
leaving me in a state so tragic

I heard a whisper
my mind said "listen"
sunken in tears I did
and I heard it beat with candid

"It was I oh silly soul
hang in there, I'll recover soon
I'll guild my cracks
with a new love so bright
and even fall in an abyss of fright

It's not my fault ask the powers above
for I myself am mysterious to the
game
of love" - heart

I misread
a lot of you's
I proofread most of your mistakes
you ****** at grammar

I silently made my red pen dance
on your blue inscriptions
that you thought
were unique

I scratched the wrong words
I indented your run on's
I even added a bit of sincerity
to all your reality

I stepped back and looked at you
you were blotches of red on scribbles of blue
you were a mistake
that I thought I could fix
at the end of the day,
I took that paper crumpled it
and aimed at the trash
and scored

My red pen yearned for correcting many more
but my red pen gave up scratching
and wanted to create its own story
of its very own mistakes
of its own doing,
so it can create a masterpiece of
"me"
