all the boys she loved were abandoned churches
with no forwarding address
until the day she knocked down his door
and walked into a cathedral

you meet her,
and all the wars inside you grow silent
you love her,
and that's when you realize,
she's the only thing
worth the pain of ****** hands

you wrote a story
of a girl and a boy
they fell in love with old books
and each other
but the pen wasn't real
and sadly,
neither were you

Little do you know how I'm breaking while you fall asleep,
Little do you know I'm still haunted by the memories,
Little do you know I'm trying to pick myself up, piece by piece
Little do you know I need a little more time
Underneath it all I'm held captive by the hole inside
I've been holding back for the feel that you might change your mind.
I'm ready to forgive you but, forgetting is a harder fight.
Little do you know I need a little more time
darkened eyes, a loss of sparkle
hardened by the starkest heart
marvel at the harmful parcel
imparted scars starting to part

discarded stars, embarking targets
barred from the starving art
pardoned by departing darkness
that was ardent from the start

(in a crescendo poem, the vowel sound you are working with must build up to a peak in intensity(crescendo), by increasing that vowel sound with each line, then gradually decreasing in the second stanza. for example, here i use /ar/ sounds...2 in first line, 3 in second and third lines, and 4 in the fourth line...then in second stanza, use same count backwards, like 4 in first line, 3 in second and third lines, and two in the last line...it can have a scheme of 1-2-3-4, then 4-3-2-1 or whatever, as long as it gradually reaches a peak(crescendo), and then gradually decreases. both stanzas must match in the amount of vowel sounds used)
this is about, and for all of the dark poets...the ones who are willing to write down the things that no one wants to talk about...you still shine!
inspired by Sarah aka ThePoet aka Blueberry :)
parcel - divided into parts....ardent - glowing or shining like fire
love is a song I keep forgetting the words to, but there's something about your voice that helps me remember

Its safe to say that better days, will come to me when I loose the rage. I hate the way I have been betrayed,  and I have lost all hope, but still I try. To be with you even though you lie.

I should of had some common sense, by the way you act around your friends. I've had enough, so I question why I spent the time right by your side.  Then I get questioned by you any time when you get drunk, you throw away my compliments since you deny my trust by arguments. You treat me straight with disrespect, I should have known so I regret. To have given my all, but what I have learned from all of it, is trusting you  had a consequence.

I lost more now, than just my pride. No more time to spend with you I tried, I shut the door, and close the blinds. Good night, good bye, I've made up my mind.

sometimes,
when the tiny lightbulb in me,
flickers on.

i dream of love,
i dream of friendship,
i dream of trust,
i dream of all the good things,
i don't seem to
have.

and,
when that lightbulb,
begins to dim,
your face flashes,
in my mind.

it's not beautiful,
it's not spectacular but
there's something
about it.

i'm attracted to
your light.
undeniably so,
i think your soul
is so attractive.

more than anything.

but,
once that light in me,
switches off.

the feelings die.
and i forget
who you are.
