To all the goodbyes I say goodnight To everyone that dies I hope it's bright To everyone; With a razor Hand of pills Tied rope Dangling keys Extreme height below Finger over a light trigger Electricity at hand Open propane tank Empty plate, with full glass Stop, think about who you're leaving behind I know my words aren't going to stop you, but just read Did you bother to write and leave a note? Is it worth it then? Saying you're sorry, knowing you'll leave someone behind? Stop. Think about why you're doing it Do you have nobody? Think about your opportunities that'll fly past The chance of ever meeting someone? Did you lose someone? Think about if you'll actually see them again? Being bullied? Fight back, with whatever you have Life shoved you down? No, I'm not asking you to get up! I'm telling you to get your *** into a nap Think about all the possibilities that might not be Think of all the opportunities and people in the future Think of your legacy Think of anything except the pain Now balance the pain and everything else Want to jump? Skyfall Want to shoot? Paintball and games Want to hang? Bungee Want to overdose? Take 10% of it and party Suffocate in propane gas, or blow up? Cook a nice meal, invite a friend or family. Surround yourself. No friends and family? Find a friend, build a family. Want to speed wrong side of the road? Speed on the right side of the road and get carried with the wind, do it over again Want to cut yourself? Cut off the pain and wrong influences Electrocute yourself? Rather save electricity and watch a good movie with friends or family. Have none? Watch a movie alone, play a game online. Make friends, build a family Want to starve yourself so you can get drunker and finally forget it all, when your liver gives in? Eat a lot more, blow off some steam at the gym and build a body that girls/guys would like, attract them and make new friends. Drink with friends. I've tried many things, some of them didn't work out, or I couldn't stay awake longer. Create new dreams if the old ones died. Work hard for them. Achieve something "At least leave a ******* legacy behind" is what my bestfriend, Steph used to say "You can get out of this alive, but maybe a little ****** up, but anything damaged can be repaired" My bestfriend Josh used to say "Life can carry you away without what you thought you needed" my bestfriend Divene used to say Even more quotes from people I've lost in my life, so I ask you just think about it all Still going through with it? Remember it's a one way ticket

Blessed be the transgender one, Gave up on life to seek the sun, Bigoted parents, insidious friends. Her heart be broken and so it ended. This girl believed she didn't matter. Conformed to societies issues, Everyone said she was meant to. The vicious encounters of supposed normality, Bought you to your desperate knees. You have your wings now. Fly sweet child be young and free. Rest in peace, in sweet relief. (C) LIVVI DEDICATED TO LEELAH (Josh Alcorn) The Ohio transgender teenager who committed suicide, in response to prejudice.

kismat (rap)
A mother whispers into the fire of Night I hold a match I hold Yarn I Am Wool Shrinking to the formation The intricate designs of your rib cage of your brother's belly of your Grandfather's waist Am I simply a fool? And Who Doth I ask This question too? A Torn book A tattered sonnet of Man's sore feet blistered eyes that are Green That are Brown That are Blue I Lay with myself Tonight I am Awake I am Loud In your Night I Am the Janitor beneath the hardwood floors of your Dream I am the Poorly Waged Electrician With Shoes that resemble an old dog I Light Your Highway Your Street Your Morning coffee your cigarette Am I The Child? I fall in love with women I see on the streets Their Wavy hair like a French sea Her pale complexion the Brown Glimmer in her eyes And I paint on her on Tombstones On Coffee Mugs and on carpets rolled up for the Dumpster At Nights I prefer to dream awake and sit with a BathTub of words of stories that melt like cheese that stiffen like Ginsberg **** that Shriek and Strum like Tom Waits stomach when he starves on backroad streets And when I cannot reproduce I make love to a woman And a poem is made and I kiss her and my lips say 5 am and I wish her not to go But the Dog is waken by Robins by the Pigeons by the digestion of night to day by the Greek Gods and Goddess' Light That Falls down like long hair of woman you have so longed for and you kiss her chest And there is no Death There is no Sleep or ****** addicts or gasoline or paved roads or shaved faces or mothers or Dostoevsky or Beethoven There is just her and you run your fingers across her skin through her hair She is the bottom of the Ocean You are a homeless crab a Shellless Clam falling down down down to the bed of the great ocean and there she lays With a reflection of Youth and Beauty And her complex simplicity makes me think of me as a boy running behind brick collapsed business buildings Kissing a girl behind church Buying Icecream with Josh in Winter That's what a woman does She erases Death from the palms of your hands and your thoughts and you sink to the bottom and you watch the Coral The other fish swimming along and you laugh Because you do not know Death And Death does not know you.

Two drinks in and all my thoughts are racing. But for once it's almost positive, instead of mostly negative. I know I'll always have my issues, my mistakes are who I am. But why should I let them break me instead of push me ahead? There will never be a moment where I don't remember his face; sweaty and contorted forcing me to keep silent. Or his hands around my neck and the darkness closing in. But he's not here anymore, and the torment is all over. I have people surrounding me who love me for everything and anything. And there won't be a day that passes where I don't remember the love of me and Josh sitting on that hill watching the sunset sink beneath the clouds. I can never forget that sacrifice, of a young life lost to save another. But in my memory he will stay, because I have someone who cares. Who knows all of my faults, and wants to help through the pain. And I have my friends who only want the best for me. Who listen when I talk, laugh at my corny jokes and love me for who I am. I will never be perfect, but I need to stop trying. Imperfect is beautiful, and I'm starting to see my beauty. The scars will remain, white and raised against my skin. But they're reminders of a past that changed my course of action. The bones will never heal, and the insults won't disappear. But learning to live with them is something within reach. I'm not broken or damaged, but pieces put together, mended and healing. I am superwoman.

MEDIOCRITY
She applied the latest fashion tips to her lips and put on the newest dress to cover the mess. I held her as she swayed in front of the mirror. "I want to get away from here," she cooes in my ear. It rains ridicule as she tries to be classic cool; storms that brew from within- and there's no way of knowing how it'll begin. She'll say that she's a succubus but I promise that she's a star and thus destined to implode but shine beautiful before death. And I await to be burnt by her deathly breath. She says that she feels detached, I read the message that has hatched from ten eggs thrown from a wrist. Her lips are mine but all I do is miss. Her lips aren't mine and all I do is this. I **** time with new noise and old sights. She asks if I'll be home tonight and I wish I could because I'd clearly sway thee, macabre debutante lover baby. Her name is Tricia and as I whisper, her cheeks blush. "Don't break hearts or mine too much." I could say the say the same for you, my Josh. Couldn't we all break broken signs with the love we reallign? I tantalize her lullabies with eager hands and lethargic eyes. I shoulder her and press her near, and kiss her from neck to each ear. She slides hands and traces each crease. She runs her hands as soft as fleece. My hands hide in her underwear and she says, "How did you remove all of my air?" She fixes her hands and grabs my base, I kiss each corner of her face. Stroking, stoking my desire, I ask her to lay naked by the fire. I disrobe and throw each cloth on ground. Tricia takes off her bra and there is no sound. Her ******* make me eagersome and, suddenly, I'm no longer numb . I tell her that if it doesn't feel right that we don't have to make love tonight. She walks and her feet kiss the tile. She says she wants to stay for a while. We get lost in blanket and the cloth is soft, as we move from the fire to a loft. I tell her that her lips are silk, her chest plays songs, and her taste is milk. Her feet appear behind my head, and she bites her lip until I feel dead. I place my hand between her thighs and listen to each moan and sigh. I hear her shudder as I break her soil and I feel my body start to boil, as I push in and kiss her nose. She throws back her head as her mouth can't close. I wake up and she's next to me. I kiss her forehead to thank for harmony. I pick her up and let her bloom in my arms like a flower. And then I walk her to the shower.

Some say, we don't need black history month. When in truth we do. Would the contribution of African American be taught truthfully. If we had to depend on you know who? Obviously, they very unaware of several successful black that contributed to America's greatness. We, very well aware they edited down facts to be turn into fiction. Like that president that chopped down that cherry tree. Many doesn't know the plight of Washington, Dubois, Carver. Let alone know their first name. It's hardly taught, if it's about us. George Franklin, Grant-dentist Ernest Everett, Just.-Scientist Josh Gibson, one of the greatest baseball player. We know very well about George, Thomas and James and John Q. Some say, we all Americans And in truth, they completely right. But for reasons very well known. We are not all equal in sights of others. When needed, they call upon us to join in. Some still, say-why do Black history month exist? But all cultures knows none was eliminated through times. Than those captured to come here and renamed after their masters. And facts be told, this cultures lives to embrace into their children's if nothing is ever mention by certain teachers about their cultures. Than they will keep it before them. Matthew Alexander, Henson-Explorer Billie Holiday-singer Duke Ellington and Count Basie and Cab Calloway. Greatness, we can't let fade. Vernon Jordan Shirley Chilsom And hosts of present days teachers that push the issues to educate. Those that say, we don't need Black History months. Be crying , if we try to eliminate theirs. Cause that's all they ever known. Howard University. Tennessee State and Fisk and various others came to be because of discrimination. And has turned out some brilliant African Americans. So our history is needed. Cause it's about us. Like Latin History and various others is about other cultures.

Unfinished sentences have become my forte. Unvoiced emotions have become my norm. When you see penguins or giraffes, When you taste pancakes or lo mein, When you hear josh turner on the radio, When you drive through the eclectic neighborhoods Of hilly chilly San Francisco, Will you miss... I will always love... Even though I shouldn't... But maybe one day... Yeah... One day this won't hurt so much... Right?

The Tale of the G building Gang (mind you this is VERY VERY LONG)
I’m not going to lie There is a part It makes me sad Tares me apart I know after all You still care We went through so much Has to be something there Please don’t leave Not just yet A little longer Then I’ll face regret Thank you for everything The good and the bad I’ll get up and move on It’s just a little sad Enough time has passed I don’t think so much Then I remember the feeling Of your soft touch I am not ready for you Out of my life just yet I constantly think of that day When we first met I’ll keep it inside And you will never know Just know one day You used to make me glow Goodbye Josh I’m saying that for good To be completely honest I never thought I could Good luck to you I hope everything turns out well I’ll walk away now Farewell No Date Ashli Jane

I shoud've told the bartender to tie me to the last working pay phone. But I didn't. I let her introduce herself. Sadie, she said, like The Beatle's song. I'm hard to forget, so I asked, What's your motto? She breathed in reverse. She looked at the door. She was past mottos. It was Josh, right? Yeah. Let me tell you something. I'm the bad, **** ***** that's gonna wreck your health. And she did. Every weekend for 105 weekends. I opened her up like a paycheck. I spent her on a big brass bed. I spent her on glass tile. I spent her on the kitchen island. The Japanese table. The water lily pond. Her brother Frank or Gary or Marvin---some American classic---kept us horizontal with white whiskey from his personal still. Personal still. And there is a house in New Orleans, but there's another one in Colorado Springs, one you should be wary of. I shoud've told the bartender to tie me to the last working pay phone. But I didn't. I let him tell me about his dream. My name is Jack, he said, as in Jumpin' Jack Flash. Like the Rolling Stones' song? Like the Stones' song, man. You were in it. Four white girls shared one mic. Karaoke night. You were in my dream. Are you listening to me? I'm gonna say it anyways. I only had one eye, but I could see you. Seen you plain as day. You were scared of me. As you should be. We were on the coast. No, I don't know which one. I saw that thought on your forehead. It was a dream. Anyway, you were holding a pen. A giant pen. And I asked for your name. I lifted my drink from the makeshift napkin coaster. Pulled a pen out of my coat pocket. Straightened out the napkin. I scribbled Nobody. Handed it to him. And aimed myself toward the interstate. I shoud've told the bartender to tie me to the last working pay phone. But I didn't. She had one helluva an afro. Her name was Katrina, not like any song, like the hurricane. My skin tastes a little like coffee, Katrina said. I like coffee. You wouldn't like me. Probably not. But I've been lost in this bar forever. I could change my mind. No, sweetie. Forever ain't that long. Just ask my ex-husband. Katrina paid for her drink. Asked me if I'd like the change. Yeah, I'll take it. I called my buddy Chris back in Oklahoma, but he didn't answer. I called my buddy Ben back in Oklahoma, but he didn't answer. Sam. Sarah. Brooks. Nothing. Silence. Barkeep (I always wanted to say it), I don't think your phone is working. It works. You gotta remember kid. You're on Rocky time. There's an hour, every night, where you're the only person you know that's awake.

No, sweetie. when the sweethearts left, we took off our token smiles and overly-kind eyes. my roommate grabbed a beer, quickly ****** it off, i put on "beat connection" by lcd, and the derailment of the night began with some synth and burps. i made a *** of coffee, went outside, the neighbors were having a party, making a stew, grilling chicken, drinking, drinking, drinking, and exhaling enough smoke to signal the natives. "are you drinkin' coffee muthafucka?" "hi, i'm josh, and yes." "the name's chase." "nice to meet you." ******* before i knew it chase, our neighbors, and about three people i didn't know were in my apartment. chase looked at a picture of lennon in our living room. asked me my favorite beatles album. "probably sgt.peppers." "you like that gay **** "if that's gay **** yes i like gay **** he grunted with rednecker royalty. "the white album is probably my second favorite," i offered. "man, the white album is the **** there is nothing else." someone said they had some fire, if anyone was interested. everyone was. there was a dark-skinned boy, with snow white teeth and a fake afro, rapping as i clumsily played an acoustic. there was a 26-year-old ***** and his 43-year-old wife smoking a bowl in my bedroom, there was my roommate vomiting on the carpet, there was everyone and there was me. there was everyone and there was me.

I'm a ****** I don't do drugs or drink my only flaw is how much I think I don't believe in God but I believe in me And I don't know where I belong on my family tree I don't propose that **** is based on a girl's clothes I suppose I'm dumb or brilliant but who really knows You could say that I'm narcissistic or have low self-esteem with a girlfriend with a pocketless pocket and a head full of dreams Whoa that didn't flow, that last line Imperfect effort seems to be an attribute of mine Look at this rhyme scheme, it's so diverse I guess I can get away with this; I couldn't get any worse One favorite, three favorite, fifty-four Give me validation, I could always use some more Hello, Hellopoetry! You've been so forgiving of my beautiful poetry that reflects an ugly way of living Tell me, tell me: Should I write more? What if my sadness is gone, and my melancholy no more? Will you still love me if I write about crinkle-cut fries? **** No more suicide poems, does this kid still try?" Is there still a Josh Haines if he no longer cries? Is there still a Josh Haines if he doesn't wanna die? Is there still a Josh Haines if he starts to fall? Is there still a Josh Haines if he gets it all? Is there still a Josh Haines after every kiss? Is there still a Josh Haines after he writes all of this? Eh. Maybe, baby. Maybe.

I know this is a poetry site, but Tyler Joseph needs to know in every way how much he means to me. Without him and his music, I probably wouldn't be alive, writing poetry anymore. So, thank you Tyler. You deserve the best birthday anyone could ever have. The song, Migraine, is one that speaks so dearly to my heart. No, you are not alone, Tyler! I am right here with you. And yes, Fridays are indeed better than Sundays. :) I need your music and your words! Who else is going to encourage me to keep living?? I love you so much Tyler. And Josh :).

i'll admit i found him humorous upon first sighting. he was obese, with one leg, in a motorized wheel chair, wearing large sunglasses, a volunteer firefighter cap, and awkward headphones, circa '79. "hello there, sir!" he shouted as his wheel chair and body shifted, slanted, bounced with each crack in the pavement. "hey, how's it goin'?" i called back, with a warm and hospitable tone. i've been trying to be more social. "i am blessed, but sir, would you be so kind as to help me get some food?" "yeah sure. where's the food?" good deed for the day. "i don't know, i guess around this here corner. i'm lookin' for that pizza place." "oh okay, i think it's just over here past the bookstore." "alright. what's your name, boy? "josh. and yours, sir?" "james. josh it is a pleasure to meet you. and i thank you. you see i'm homeless, mr. josh. and you wouldn't believe how often people turn away from me, josh." "that's awful." "yes it is. but i pray for them. they need it. may the lord forgive them. may the lord forgive me." "here's that pizza place." "excellent. would you go in and get me some food?" oh. i'm buying him food. that's what "help me get some food" means. "of course. what would you like?" i returned ten minutes later with a gyro, a pepsi, and some chips. "thank you mr. josh," he said with a bright smile, "this will be a fine meal. now, josh, you have done a good thing. look at my eyes." he removed his sunglasses. his eyes seemed normal enough. "i ain't no druggy or dope fiend. i'm just james w. green. mr. green. i was a bass player that just fell on some bad luck. now josh, i'm asking you as a friend to just give me a little more, so i can eat tonight." this made me uncomfortable. i hate to admit it, but i began to suspect this uni-legged, bass player, of ripping me off. i gave him a 5-dollar bill. that's a weeks worth of suppers at taco bell. he said a prayer for me. then he asked me on behalf of jesus, "can you look into your heart and give generously? just one big donation and who knows what could happen!?" i gave him another ten. "thank you mr. josh. i appreciate it. remember me? and do me a favor?" "sure." "tell the world about mr.green!" you're welcome, james.

At night I sit and ponder It leaves my mind only to wander I miss you, how I miss you so I don’t know where you went Or where you’ve roamed These days just don’t seem as bright Without you by my side Deep down I’m crying, dying I miss you oh how I miss that smile Time and space exceeds this place Bless your troubled soul I’m with you wherever you go If you’re out there I hope you can hear me As the day’s fade on Don’t worry I won’t forget our wrongs I'll always remember our rights I won’t forget those alcohol-induced nights Forever I'll remember the laughs we shared I miss you, oh how I miss you so How I wish I could make things right I’m so sorry about that night You never even knew What it is you had coming to you Your heart slowly stopped And so graciously you went I think a part of me died When you left us here that night I’m so sorry I couldn’t help you I’m so sorry I couldn’t fix your strife The world was just too much For you to face Each and every day Oh how I wish I could see you Just one last time Always at odds You couldn't handle all your flaws Can you hear me? can you hear my calls? I wish you didn’t have to go So many things you've missed Numerous memories I'll never know We didn't get to celebrate I'm finally an adult I can order a drink and toast my love to you I just know you'll be so proud When you see me in my cap and gown Don't you worry dear You have nothing to fear I hope you see Jerry and Jim Both smirking with a devious grin I miss you, oh how I miss you so I'll keep you locked within my heart Until the day I part In loving memory of my wonderful cousin Josh © 2012 Christina Jackson

He often asked me if I believed in love I often answered if love believed me see he was willing to fix the flame that no longer burnt when the sun left on rainy days he saw the flaws that I let escape I saw the love that he yarned to give   so I soaked my heart in his treasures never fully understanding the meaning to Love So who the **** was he kidding? Thinking I could be open to love Let’s reminisce my heart was done when josh burnt his bridges maybe when jose told me he never viewed me as His Women or maybe when I laid beside a man who never called me He told me he loved me just to undress me only to finesse me just to say he sexed me In mind he next me just to move on to the next me you know the shy girl with the heart of gold often eager to please that she misleads in ends up on a broken rode So I often asked could he see his self loving after his heart was left in a disaster? He just said Disaster aren’t final destinations

And my dad wanted us to hurry. He worked the night shift. Sweat on his forehead evidenced his displeasure with rising sun. 35 mm in his hands. Steel-toed boots on pavers. My mother stuffed another box of Kleenex in my backpack. Gritted the metal teeth. Ready? Ready. Her hands on my shoulders. Take another one. Josh wasn't smiling. Dad winded the film. I don't want to smile. My mother stuck her fingers into my mouth pulling opposite and up. And her fingers tasted like the musty pages in the books without pictures.

My cousin Diamond Johnson just received this email for posting a poem about her boyfriend Josh who isn't on this site. *Silent screams  10 hours ago Hello, so I'm not sure if you have a serious mental problem or if you're just flat out ******** but, Josh has never loved any other girl besides me and he will never love another, and the same goes for me as well. We have had a mutual love affair for a year, and I don't appreciate you writing creepy poems about my boyfriend and making up fake "love" stories If you pursue or try to have any further contact with him, so much as a message or a text or anything. the police will be notified and I will pay every last cent I have to have them track you down and find you, and that is a promise Now get a life, and stop trying to interfere in mine.*

Hannah once again with tears streaming from hazel eyes silently praying, "Oh Lord I need you desperately to show me how to make the best of this situation." Using her delicate hands to cover her face and trying to reason with her own heart. "Josh deserves a wife who can return his love, a wife that can be madly in love with him. I want to be that kind of wife. I want those feelings. I would hate to spend a life time in marriage where there is no love." Hannah looked down at her hand and remembered his words when he'd given her the wedding rings. "I will wait a life time for you to love me if that's what it takes. I love you. There's no need for you to force feelings for me Hannah." Regret hit her hard at how easily it seemed when she foolishly gave herself to Jake. He showed her a different kind of attention that she needed. It dawned upon her right then that Jake didn't love her nor him. She confused it for love. She'd found a stand-in for the attention she craved from her father. She was more naive but Jake was more crafty. There had been a great hole in her that she thought Jake could feel... an emptiness that only God could fill. Perhaps now she could love Josh as God intended. Now that she set her selfishness aside and forgiven her earthly father and would be right with her Heavenly Father again. She understood love and all of it's honesty now. Maybe it wasn't too late. A tinge of fear seized a moment making her wonder how she could ever forgive herself. Then questions filled her mind as if to tell this wonderful, loving husband of hers of her betrayal and sin. And if she did would she lose him forever. Wondering if she could keep it hidden from him but if she did how could she feel good about it? "Oh dear Heavenly Father," she tried once again to pray but only heart breaking sobs came out. ~Author Ven J. Arnold (rough draft). ~(SacredInkedBlood)
