I Let Go

For years,
I had so much pain...
Too much pain,
But I finally let it go,
And now all I can do is grow
And laugh and love and feel,
I can feel once again!
What a wondrous phenomenon!
To be alive, once again,
Thank the Lord above,
For giving me the strength to *let it go

There are demons in your closet
It is obvious to me
You left the door wide open
Setting those ******* free

Anger lashed out first
With razor sharp claws
Shredding the unsuspecting
Without hesitation or pause

Beneath him is resentment
Forever locked up tight
Hidden within for years
Now more than ever, ready to fight

Betrayal weighs heavy
Taking up the most room
Can’t sweep it under the rug
There isn’t a big enough broom

Don’t disregard the guilt
Or forget about shame
These two big players
Are leaders of the game

Amidst the whirl wind of chaos
And the fury of rage
A broken heart exposed through fear
Makes its way to center stage

Vulnerability is waiting
She can keep your closet clean
Nourish you with love
Making those demons less mean

As the spotlight shifts its focus
There seems nowhere to hide
Will you crawl back into darkness?
Or simply swallow your pride?

The moment you forget.
Mind wanders with regret.
Eyes blurred, lose focus.
“What’s my current purpose?”

Is spontaneous enough?
Chasing a dream, tough.
As a child we rushed,
what was all the fuss?

The lost moment finds.
The lost moment unwinds.
The lost moment reminds.
Messes with our minds.

In that moment there is clarity.
We connect with our reality.
Understand humanity.
Endless possibilities.
Test our comfortability.

A chance to breathe.
Rebirth and see.
Are we where
we want to be?

Take that lost moment,
to reset your focus.
To find yourself and
your new found purpose.

If only life was bliss
If only I kept your kiss
If only life did not change
If only it wasn't so strange
If only you were still here
to you, I felt so near.
If only I wasn't so down
How can I change this frown?
If only we kept our words
If only we could fly like the birds

If only it weren't so lonely
I'd be by your side
Our two hearts would collide
If only you were here
Everything would feel so clear

All these silly indecisive decisions
Weigh on this troubled mind
Always seems to be complicated situations
Processing through this conscious conscience
Can't seem to digest all this information
Straight from the page to my brain
All I feel is disconnection
From this interjected rejection
Gotta break free of this intersection
Give me the will to pick the right direction

If only I had your touch
If only everyone loved so much
If only I could hear
If only I felt no fear
If only you felt me there
If only love was in the air
If only friends pulled through
If only I put my arms around you

If only it weren't so lonely
I'd be by your side
Our two hearts would collide
If only you were here
Everything would feel so clear

All these silly indecisive decisions
Weigh on this troubled mind
Always seems to be complicated situations
Processing through this conscious conscience
Can't seem to digest all this information
Straight from the page to my brain
All I feel is disconnection
From this interjected rejection
Gotta break free of this intersection
Give me the will to pick the right direction

If only I felt alive
If only I could find the drive
If only you had my heart
If only we weren't so far apart
If only we took a glance
If only we took a chance
If only we were all we could be
If only I didn't give you my soul
Then I wouldn't be stuck in this dark hole
IF only I didn't miss
If only you never gave me your kiss
If only it was so real
if only you turned the wheel
If only...
If only it weren't so lonely
I'd be by your side
Our two hearts would collide
If only you were here
Everything would feel so clear

All these silly indecisive decisions
Weigh on this troubled mind
Always seems to be complicated situations
Processing through this conscious conscience
Can't seem to digest all this information
Straight from the page to my brain
All I feel is disconnection
From this interjected rejection
Gotta break free of this intersection
Give me the will to pick the right direction

Are you a girl or a piece of wood?
Is it your mind, or stone?
Do you have a heart, or not?
Why are you so rude?
Why your voice is a weapon?
Why do you treat me like a tot?

Are you a woman or the dark?
Is it your love or are you a cheater?
Do you have kindness, or not?
Why your emotion is like a nark?
What makes your hurtful heartbeat?
Why are you so prideful?

Are you mankind or nothing?
Is it your judgment or suicide?
Do you have feelings, or not?
Why do you have no lust?
You care about the nature outside
But why do you think life is a dot?
Sorry
He floated
on her tongue,
her words,
were his lifeboat.

Feels like things
Are gonna get hot and heavy
Hope you don't mind getting sweaty
Think your make up
Is going to get messy
Smear your lipstick
In the kiss
Girl you know I know
You want to be loved like this

Let me help you out
Out of that dress
Let your hair out
Girl don't think we're gonna
Make it to the bed
Your lips are locked on mine
Tongue in cheek
Lipstick stains on my neck
Legs wrapped around my waist
As I carry you to the bed oh yes

Let's get naked
Take it off
Take it off
Skin to skin
I want to feel every inch
Mmm
Take it off
Take it off
Let me run my hands
Over your body
I can tell that you want me
Take it off
Take it off
You on me, me on you
What does it matter
All I want is all of you

Oh, girl, you got your hand
down my jeans
You know I like it like that
I need some more
of that sweet honey baby
Let me taste your body baby
Let me help you get off oh baby
This is what I need
I need kiss every little bit
But I really like the taste of your lips
I like the way you bite
Just a little bit
Oh yeah, alright
She grabs the bed head tight

Let me help you out
Out of that dress
Let your hair out
Girl don't think we're gonna
Make it to the bed
Your lips are locked on mine
Tongue in cheek
Lipstick stains on my neck
Legs wrapped around my waist
As I carry you to the bed oh yes

Let's get naked
Take it off
Take it off
Skin to skin
I want to feel every inch
Mmm
Take it off
Take it off
Let me run my hands
Over your body
I can tell that you want me
Take it off
Take it off
You on me, me on you
What does it matter
All I want is all of you

Scratch marks down my back
We both look like a mess
Mascaras running under your eyes
Hearts are beating faster inside
You sure know how to make out
You sure know how to make love
Yeah you feel so good, babe
Inside was so nice
My God this felt so right
I think we need to do this again sometime
How about again tonight alright

Let me help you out
Out of that dress
Let your hair out
Girl don't think we're gonna
Make it to the bed
Your lips are locked on mine
Tongue in cheek
Lipstick stains on my neck
Legs wrapped around my waist
As I carry you to the bed oh yes

Let's get naked
Take it off
Take it off
Skin to skin
I want to feel every inch
Mmm
Take it off
Take it off
Let me run my hands
Over your body
I can tell that you want me
Take it off
Take it off
You on me, me on you
What does it matter
All I want is all of you

Dark clouds,
Pollution fills air with dust,
Melted paintwork,
Cars rust,
The world is cold,
Hearts, brains and souls,
Full of mould.

Innocent animals die,
Innocent children cry,
The peaceful natural world
We once lived in,
Is full of death,
Heart break and sin.

I struggle to find a kind person,
The more I try and help
The more it seems to worsen,
If you're in doubt
About the life you live
Put on a smile,
Ask more and give.

For the world a bitter place,
So pick yourself up
An exception to the human race,
When you wake up grin
Share the laughter,
Eventually you'll wish
You did after.

If you feel times are tough,
Go explore, see the world,
You haven't seen enough,
Meet new people, meet new friends,
And fall in love,
Before your soul is caught
In a star from above.

Small children in poor countries,
Don't have healthy water,
But families go out and buy
A new car for their daughter.

With the world always spinning
Throughout the years,
All you're doing is sat
Shedding tears,
Just sit for a moment
Open your eyes and ears
It's not all bad,
When you've got family,
Friends and beers.
My final version of this, one of my originals but thought I'd go back and finish it :D
