Dear democracy,
Are you really there?
Fighters fought for freedom
Now the youth, for their share.

You taught us to be free,
You taught us to put our opinion
But lately you seem like a mere word,
To be used by only a politician.
I live in India, and the recent protests are making me sick. Are we humans or just vote banks?

the water is warm
the sand is soft
the touch is wet
the air is hot
she is bathing in love
—in love

We are all a little lonely.

To
the man driving to an empty house after work,

the homeless guy wondering life & survival,

the lover plucking petals to feed his infatuation,

the last petal feeling alone before it's plucked,

the lonesome bird sitting on a branch without a mate,

the happy dog who was just left off at an unknown place,

I want you to know..
The breeze touching your skin,
Has touched me too
I feel you my friend,
Now this is my pain too.
I hope I could find you,
Share your loneliness with mine,
Maybe we'll meet,
30 years later, below the ground.
If you are lonely, we have something in common. Are you still lonely?

We
We’ve had promises broken
Words left unspoken

Tears on our cheeks
Lonely weeks

And yet
It still surprised me when you left me.

From here to you I say
Writing is your healing,
Never let it get away.
The community of lovers, hurts, addicts, wonderers & wanderers.

" Cut yourself"

Just a cut
Just a scratch
"What's that mark?"
"It was the cat."
Just an excuse
Just a lie
"What's with all the bracelets?"
" Just fashion, why?"
Just a tear
Just a scream
" Why were you crying?"
"Just a bad dream."
But it's not just a cut, or a tear, or a lie
It's 'just one more' until you die
this poem is about me

To all the times you said I love you
My heart broke apart,
Wondered how many lies you could lip
After our 1000 trys and million re-starts.

To all the times you touched my lips
My soul tore apart,
Wondered how could you repeat everything
That you did with her behind my back.

I am sorry my love,
For now I am finally done.
Soon I'll be distanced from you,
Away I walk, away I run.
We gave 'US' a chance, but how would it work when you're happier without my presence?
