Gaffer
The child has gone
Such a long time
They searched like everywhere
But something told them
The child has gone
They started looking inwards
Watching expressions
Looking for that clue
So strange, nothing
The child has gone
Days turned to weeks
Nothing
Nationwide alert
Calls came in, including the cranks
The child has gone
The search died down
Talk spread
Children stayed indoors
Fear became the byword

She watched within the large tree
Her secret hiding place
It was fun
The earth collapsed pulling her under
She tried to scream
Too late
The child has gone.

I think it's obvious
I'm lost
I'm hopeless

I think it's clear
I'm "open"
I'm insincere

I think it's ridiculous
I'm broken
You're an incubus

I think it's serious
I was wise
Now I'm delirious

I know it's stupid
I'm used up
Like my excuses

Silence is deafening
Words left unspoken
Screaming in my ears
How I long for your words
                                            ignite the fire

Avenues left unexplored

                      needing, wanting to investigate

Leave me not in dark

tell me how you want it too

Hush the unspoken words

*take away the deafness

You were the seal of perfection;
the roses bow to your direction
North in it's far reaching
in it's pure and stainless preaching
it's impassable protection.

There's a mountain in a painting
where I knew you would be waiting
if I could get far enough out of my mind
to see again the emerald shine

of the stones in your City of sensory bliss
carted away through the centuries
The star in the sky of your eternal rest
the mists of the death that you sang to me

My breath fell like tears, could you ******* voice that
I inhaled It fell on you like rain but you were dry in the
moments they descended and I was doused in regret.

I could have exhaled so much but instead one lone
droplet descended and  my voice was heard in the
silence of its landing, all was now told.

Could anything be greeted from silence but a
exhalation of significance that was  never heard,
I evaporated all that was said and it fell in a single tear.

The thing with being
a writer is that when
you get to know people,
you can write an entire
chapter about them and
all you get is a paragraph.

- *But oh god, did you even
try to finish the sentence?
For you, I have written
an entire story.
