Once upon a time,
There was the sound of a cry,
The Cry that made them smile with tears in their eye.

Once upon a time,
There was a movement like a smile,
The smile which bought their world twirling in a while.

Once upon a time,
There were long nights as days,
The days which were turned into their nights in ways.

And the story went on
Their adventure of life was born
Born around this joy that they lovingly adorn

Years went on and they kept on,
selfless, wise and never torn,
Their breath was each for to teach courage,
that would need to move on.

Then came a time , the sand glass turned,
the cry was heard again,
Again with those tears came that smile,
And Realisation struck as plain.
For all parents!..

Be determined to do your best
Just give it your all
Put your heart into everything
Learn to stand tall
Let the rhythm move you
Get ready to fly
Have strength and courage
In order to reach for the sky

The poet lives two lives.
One on the outside,
And one in their mind.

When you look in their eyes
You could see an abyss.

If you looked long enough
You could sink into it.

But most people don’t see it.

Take the time to read the words, though,
And you would know for sure.

The poet lives in two different worlds.
A little escape from the madness.
Or maybe, into.

I look at you, but you aren't there,
And I breathe a sigh of sadness.
If I look away I'll face my fear,
And succumb to a world of madness.

I reach for you, but you don't reach back,
And water wets my face.
I think of everything I lack,
In the game of the Human Race.

You didn't know what would happen that day.
What you reaped you did not sew.
I look at you and all I say;
"Why did you have to go?"

Well now your tears
they don't bother me.
I said your tears
they don't bother me at all.
You know your tears
they don't bother me.
Your tears, now,
they dont bother me at all.
But I'd hate to see you leaving.
Leave me with my back
against the wall.

I saw your train pull in the station.
I heard the whistle start to blow.
Yeah, as your train got to the station
I could hear that lonesome whistle start to blow.
Well, I could meet you down the line,
but where you're headed
I just dont know.

As those wheels got to turning,
so did my heart, girl, ya know it did.
When them wheels started turning,
so did my heart, girl, yes it did.
And I could see you in the window
laughin' like some little kid.

I guess my tears didnt bother you
and you know that's such a shame.
I guess my tears didn't bother you
and ain't it such a shame.
'Cause the reason they were falling
is 'cause you're gone and I'm to blame.
