A whisper... I, remember when

A roar... I, remember when

A sudden swirl of warmth and pain

Yes... I remember too

It’s you

It has always been you

I have searched forward and backward in time

It has always been you

I remember

I remember, joy, ecstasy, pain

Is it the pain we love?

I am free
Magi Candelaria Sep 2024
I once was a fierce warrior
I would have given my life for yours
I remember fighting back-to-back, side-by-side
I would have given my soul for yours
I no longer have anything to fight for
I am free

Reflection
Magi Candelaria Sep 2024
I hold up a mirror and
reveal what you are
and you lash out at me
It is your reflection not mine

fractured soul
Magi Candelaria Oct 2024
Blue veins across my porcelain skin,
  like cracks across marble
No wonder I am stone cold…
Is it a reflection of my fractured soul?

formula for Bliss
Magi Candelaria Sep 2024
Be silent so that you can hear your heart and tune into your
intuition. Listen to your heart and intuition to discover your
Bliss.

listen within
silence + listening = heart & intuition
Follow your heart, listen to your intuition
heart + intuition = Bliss

hearts desire
Magi Candelaria Oct 2024
What is it about you?
You sparkle with gold
How is it that you make
  my heart sing so?
I breathe you in and feel peace,
  calm, tranquility
My heart is full of love and
  my soul is at peace
I have no need to know the future
I am completely intoxicated
  with here and now
You are my home, my sanctuary,
  my beloved hearts desire

Spring Day
Magi Candelaria Sep 2024
I remember when I had two lovers.
One was named Wind and the other Sun.
My favorite memory together was on a warm spring day.
Wind caressing my check with a cool breeze and gently
running fingers through my dark curly hair.
Sun gently kissing my shoulders and caressing my body with
his warmth. I miss them so.

Cold Lover
Magi Candelaria Sep 2024
Sometimes the sun feels just like a lover
Warm kisses on shoulders and checks
Playing with shadow on skin, warm and cold
So cold, disappearing under a cloud

   --- Magi
So many years ago I once said to a friend 'sometimes the sun feels just like a lover' he said how poetic; that seed was planted in my brain. 35 years later this is what spouted My words came out in a flood, poem after poem. I do not consider myself a poet or a writer

Compassion in Chaos
Magi Candelaria Sep 2024
The world is in chaos and I am at peace
How strange to view chaos
   from outside looking-in
Looking at all the confused masses in despair
Where is my compassion?

Gratitude
Magi Candelaria Sep 2024
Trees
With outstretched limbs
like arms reaching
to the sky in gratitude
giving praise for the day
Teach me too
to be grateful like you
Teach me to soak up the sun
and to be green and alive
with the memory of thankfulness

Beautiful Mesquite
Magi Candelaria Sep 2024
I love how you dance
   in the wind
Lithe limbs
   moving to-and-fro
To the beat of
   an unheard drum
Beautiful Mesquite
Shaped like a women
Dancing in the breeze
Waving to the sun
Beautiful Mesquite

You say I see gray-blue-green
I imagine dance and feel gray-hope-ecstasy
How do I explain how color is emotion
Do we speak the same language?

Pandemia
Magi Candelaria Sep 2024
Mother Nature shouted… Enough! Enough!
You need to slow down, be still, be quiet.
I need to breathe.
You are so ungrateful for all the gifts I have given.
I am exhausted and need to rest.
She had tried to get our attention before; earthquakes,
Tornados, locusts. Even the tsunami had little effect on us.
So she unleashed Pandemia and the world was silent.
The world was silent for days.
The days turned into weeks, turned into months.
The foxes came out to play.
Blue returned to the sky.
The fishes returned to the rivers.
Will we remember to be thankful?

Your secret and mine
Magi Candelaria Sep 2024
Did you think that I had
  forgotten and did not know
Did you think I had forgotten
  the knowing in my soul
Was anyone told or was it just
  your secret and mine?

I must believe that you believed
that you were doing the right thing
But when the truth is buried
one must dig themselves out of a grave

You then live a lifetime
  deprived of oxygen and light

Others thinking you are strange
  you are different a blight
Not understanding how
but knowing they are right

Was anyone told or was it just
  your secret and mine?
