Undo my buttons
and let the soul breathe
for the body to freeze
or scorch! I am done
with each attempt to see
with wistful bras
and weeping knickers
Sulked by sore heads
that lay on pvc pillows
And aluminium beds
Mouths that drink blood
chew mud
Lips that never kissed the moonlight
Eyes that never waved to the sunbeam
All talk of love to redeem
this mass of jagged insanity
“La vie est un sommeil,
l'amour en est le rêve."
Undo my buttons
and caress all the scars
it took to believe
I am as dead
as my cigars.
I
am
healing
but I don't want you to take off your shoes in my home yet

I
am
healing
but I'm still afraid of your touch

I
am
healing
but while I'm healing, you're burning like a broken electric wire, and while you burn you bloom

so yes, I am healing
slowly
trembling
feeling numb
but healing
Sun sick, drinking
Gatorade, and
washing down
a sleeping aid;
a Dramamine for
dizzy dreams, and
vitamins with
herbal tea.

God forgot you
long ago,
and He will miss
your funeral;
He’s working
nine to five these days
at just above
the minimum wage.

The panic starts.
Your life will end—
you never saw
the pyramids,
or stood below
a waterfall,
(the movies made that
look so cool).

You had a kid, though,
raised her right;
she made you laugh
on chemo-nights—
and she’s a mirror
of her dad,
(but she’s always
had your laugh).

There is nothing
to be learned,
the end must come
for all of us;
but you feel strong
despite your fear—

and you could live
another year.
This rain
Seems like
A million
Heartbreaks
Crashing
Down
Rottenly dancing
to reverse tune,tuning
Fog and mist
Cactus in my mind
Turning beautiful charm
When you kissed me
with honey lips
My routine rewind
Brevity of sunrise
I see you
Mesmerising me
With your lovely smile
Knowingly
N
Unknowingly
I started loving you
I believe

...
Let's love
Nothing in this world remains forever, except memories...
It's better to fall in love

Isn't it?
& they stood round the hot crackling light,
drinking spirits & chanting celebrating praises all night
after catching a soul, wandering.
he was stripped & tied,
like an animal he laid
next to the tree,
a quivering bird

& they stood round the hot crackling light,
playing "Pin the Tail on the Monkey", with hot coals
as haunting laughter
chilled the hot southern air
blowing the scent of burnt flesh
& sweet magnolias everywhere

& they stood round the hot crackling light,
watching the thick, yellow braided snake coil their fears,
& stifle
what they had done
leaving him, black and hanging
like a cluster of bananas,
swinging & waiting to be cut
because
strange fruit
does rot
Stop me,
But I can't
Kiss me
Before I  sleep
Let me
Live in love
Before I die
Anytime
...
My myopic eyes
in the whitewashed veins
dissolved a Solar Eclipse once,
sprinkled slowly in the transparent ponds
of vision,
through a negative film of ours.

Call it now, The fate’s cruel jape.
A sky long-awaited
and devoid of sunlight
is forgotten forever.

I do remember though, the universe we created
in silence, while we lent our voices
to an air that couldn’t speak.

The negative is now a mere vicissitude of colors,
for a time that went lost in translation.
