she's the girl who blushes every time you stare at her a little too long.
she's the girl whose laugh is contagious & whose hair is always a little tangled.
she's the girl with a real smile & freckles that fill her cheeks & nose.
she's the girl who cries at night wondering why her life is so messy.
she's the girl who counts the stars & makes wishes on shooting comets.
she's the girl who loves too much & forgives too easily.
she's the girl who always gets hurt & yet continues on like a soldier.
she's the girl you'll find reading a book until 3 am.
she's the girl whose heart is broken into pieces & stitched up by her own hands.
she's the girl who will leave your clothes smelling sweet.
she's the girl who will love you with every inch of her body.

she's the kind of girl who will give you her heart, so please handle with care.

taffylike I sat melting
in my blue jeans
as she took my hand
and we gulped
the last sips of our Black Jack
and chugged the dregs of our tall Buds
I was already there

We ended up on the beach
running barefooted
nothing but endlesses seemed to wave on the dark seas
as our breath ran out fell
together
like two seagulls
on a crust of bread

a part of me is still there
now
and the stars flicker and waves crash
again
when I am alone
not ever dimmed
by time
or her leaving

When** you haven't written poetry in a while
try not to stress, you can do that anyway,
try to just express what you want to say.
Ditch the mask, the smile
if you're feeling distraught
don't ignore the thought.

Let it all out,
run and scream and shout.

Sometimes you're not okay,
but that really is okay.
I'm just hear to say
it's okay where you're at today.
Read the bold :)

that* (pronoun)
\ˈthat, thət\

used by the misunderstanding to describe the depth of thought and/or emotion experienced by the reader upon reading poetry that has been ripped directly from the author's soul
You
You

A girl who giggles and jokes around.

That kind of girl.

You

With those eyes shaped like the first quarter moon.

And the nose sticking out like a tiny dot

As if she slipped out of a cartoon book.

When *you
smile

My heart threatens to drum

And my fingers start tapping a beat

That signals nervousness.

And even grumpy cat smiles.

But when you frown!

That ugliness shapes itself to beauty- cuteness even!

And I start smiling; my cheeks aches from so many.

What a person you are!

You.

A irresistible cute lad.

Annoyingly attractive

Lovely

and cute.

**You.
i luv her
I thought it was a site for goodness

I thought it was a site for amazing poems and joy

But as usual, more evil than good,

More death than joy

Depression
Depression
Depression.

Can we write more good please?
why is everything so depressing... i know there are good poems but there are so many sadness and depression poems... :(

We are at the mercy of the city, they said.
Trapped and bound, it wasn’t pretty.
We are the kids who have accomplished nothing.
The kids who lived too fast.
The kids who didn’t live at all.
Wanting to be something, facing the fall.

Laughing in the face of darkness.
Pretending to do our jobs while they drop pennies.
Here and there, bounding everywhere.
Facing the end of the map,
Opportunities landing everywhere but our laps.

Then the lights come on, at the game’s end.
The charade is over, no time left to pretend.
Pretend to be grown, happy, and alone.
Together in this land of the infinite unknown.
Cliche’d and replayed and lost in the many quotas.
Not enough going on anymore to really take note of.
