this is what comes next,
we have learned
to wait for
this.

we
we walked together through that old wooden fence
then you asked, 'can we please, please dance?'
I said I was too tired to do anything
'how come you never ask me to dance now?' you asked

I said I didn't know
you looked away from my eyes
nearby a rivulet quietly flows
'now we are built on lies'

I agreed, but I said something else instead
'look, honey, you know I love you'
I was honestly lying
you were right to say what you have said

you looked beautiful today, darling
in that white, white dress of yours
kissing your father's cheek
and your mother's hand

nothing is left of us, darling
at the end none of us were trying
but today I saw you smile again
though you belong to another home now

though I had to say the hardest line in this little life of mine

congratulations on your wedding, Gina.
I'm happy for you
I'm happy...
a simple poem of maturing former lovers and congratulating the lady for her wedding.

Marriage is a joke.

Under moonlight we spoke of an exchange of new sensations;
In the secrets of loves code, we created a conversation.
Into a series of unknown’s, we allowed ourselves to fall
And all in the hope of finding ourselves in love.

Musicians know the score is strumming my pain away;
If a she-devil wants to take me for a ride, then I shall happily go.
We are all lonely on the inside and waiting for just one big day;
Congratulations to you all!  I shall raise a toast!

To the bride and groom;
Let their love be doomed!
To the drunk father of the bride; have another drink!

To the best man, the worst of us all.
Get on with it, we need to consume,
This terrible food the groom’s mother has made;
What is this?

Is this really true love?  It will never last.
I give it a month before they are creeping behind your back.

Again she smiles, in denial,
Like she did when she first lied, on the day that you first met.
Now she is losing you from her memory; a drink and kiss takes it all.
She could have stayed with you,
But the more you do, the less is said.

A regular in a pub and a regular in love;
The last time you truly loved, it broke your heart; remember that?
Oh look there is your new love, being asked to dance;
Put a slow record on, get nice and close
And forget the love that you have.

She wants new things;
New lovers and a new reason to smile.
So your love is no more
And this thing you have always believed in, will only last a little while.

Beauty is forever fading and it will soon die.
In the days of our lives,
People always do as they please and they are empty on the inside.
You will never find true love, no matter how many times you try;
The phone rings, the lie stings…
I hope you live a long and bountiful love life.

I wanna be kissed in the rain
And wear a wedding ring
I wanna love you
Just cause
It’s you

A rainy wedding day
Music so loud
Beautiful bride dressed in white
And I, a mere child
Playing in the mud
Staining my new shiny tux
Among the children
Among dances and laughs
Colorful clothes and happy faces
Cars with ribbons all around
What wouldn’t I give
To return
To a rainy wedding day fifty years ago
To hug my parents who’s long been gone
And be a child with a mud stained shoe
To return, only for a day
To the place I once called home
And now is no more.
Story: my mother's uncle returned to visit us after nearly 40 years of being abroad, he left at 18 years old to escape the former regimen, and all he had with him were his memories, so little of them, one of which was someone's wedding were it was raining and he and other children, including my father at the time, played in the mud.
It's strange how the simple things we do could become one of our greatest memories.
the sprouting wedding oceans burns,
trembling hymns of ****** appeal,
plumes to spread like butterflies eaten in flames,
prayer churches spawn the light,
web of magical design,
hive sheltered in the sublime Universe.

Blessed rice on rivers of love
confetti danced into the ocean
salt preserved the truth with consummate glory
