And by that, I mean my Turkey Cheese *****

But for real, it can also **** my *****

That is, my Stuffing *****

But, on a serious note... it can **** my real, actual *****

Of course, I'm referring to my Oreo Cookie *****

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Just a little cheap humor for the holiday!

I listen to "Alices restaurant"
the full eighteen minutes and sixteen seconds, in remembrance
of how thankful I was to have a father, like you.
every thanksgiving from before I can remember, my father listened to the  full song "alices restaurant" by arlo guthrie on the radio

I will gormandize the feast that is she.
Body of bread and butter
No, more.. Earth-bound fingertips scatter under pressure of a diamond.
Skin soft to bear blood, how gruesome.
Thoughts all turned to coal.
Body turn water to wine
The snake's forked tongue stuttered over silence screams.
Venom which could resurrect Christ on knees.
Wasp stinging back of bird's neck.
Her soul found grapevine tangled in nests.
Body as cold as ice
She has fled on Poe's Raven's wings.
Soul displeased and assured and so scared to be.
Calling for her out that chamber window.
Hearing no "where art thou" in this distopia thy named garden.
Body removed from time.
Could it be indescribably so?
That a heart has breached that dark surface below.
Happy Thanksgiving

I am thankful for my family
I am thankful for my friends
I am thankful for my grandma
and all the love she sends.
I am thankful for my house,
for the roof over my head,
for all of the hot dinners
that keep my family fed.
I am thankful for the soldiers
for my teachers and my car,
I am forever thankful
that freedom's never far.
I am thankful for my bed,
where I can always sleep,
for the Angels up above me
who I pray my soul to keep.
I am thankful for laughter,
for sunshine and for love,
I am also very thankful
for the man way up above.
Happy thanksgiving to all. :)

On this day,
Turkeys run.
Potatoes mash.
Cranberries juice.
Pumpkins bake,
Green beans cry.

On this day,
We all must give thanks.

On this day,
The turkey screams.
As its stuffed,
Ready for you and me.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Count Your Blessings

I resolve to count my blessings not just at thanksgiving but all year long
I heard an attitude of gratitude can alleviate some symptoms of depression
I consider it a blessing to have a roof over my head
It is also a blessing to have a bed
I also consider it a blessing every day my bank account is not in the red
It is a blessing to be well fed
It is a blessing to have family
It is a blessing to have friends
I am very grateful for HP and my HP friends
For learning things everyday
For  life is a gift
If I keep counting my list might never end
My friends please try to count your blessings
This is a Revised version of my last year Thanksgiving Poem.
I hope you  like it.
Happy Thanksgiving

Every year we sit around the table filled with tasty traditions
Every year we ask the same question
"What are you thankful for?"

I'm thankful for the searing pain that has coursed through my veins
like a fire that couldn't be stopped
because I'd never be this strong without it

I'm thankful for the hot tears that have run down my cheeks
like the warm spring streams running through parks
because I wouldn't know what grief was like with out it

I'm thankful for the people who caught me when I was falling so fast that I couldn't cry out for help
For the people who held me up when I couldn't stand on my own two feet for more than a mere few seconds
because without them I wouldn't know what true friendship was

I'm thankful for the people who made me laugh
Who made me forget there was ever pain
because without them I would have never seen the light in life

I'm thankful for the people who cared for me when I couldn't care for myself
Who through the years have held my hand when times were scary
Who wiped tears away when life hurt
And helped me through the growing pains of life
Because with out them I wouldn't know who I am today

I'm thankful for the opportunities
The opportunity to explore the world
The opportunity to find the most knowledge I can fit into my head
Without these I wouldn't know how blessed I truly am.

I am thankful for the happiness that I have in my life
the smiles and the sunshine that is found in everyday
without these I wouldn't know what was joy

I am thankful for the scars that are invisible and visible
the visible ones hold stories and power and remind me that I can conquer anything
the invisible ones hold logic yet understanding reminding me to proceed with caution
With out these I would not understand healing

I am thankful for the human kindness I have received
The hugs of healing
The words of encouragement and wisdom
The shoulder squeezes of reassurance
The shared strength and perseverance
Without these I would not know hope

I am thankful for the patience of others
The times others held me close when nothing was outwardly wrong
The times when I didn't live up to my word yet they still trusted me
With out this I wouldn't have faith in myself

So as you sit around your thanksgiving feast
And you ask each one what they are thankful for
remember it's not about the food
It's not about the pilgrims and the Native Americans
It's remembering to say thank you to all the people in your life that matter.

**So Thank you for being there
