The eyes will see what the heart desires
if the mind wills it so. It inspires;
his rage, her innocence.
And up the stairs he'll race; still to her hearts pace,
and frozen in time.
For what she wanted was not that with which
she gave away. She gave way as his prey.

And numbly he took his heart's whole take;
and led on her mind. The fake;
his strength, her frailty.
And through the oceans he would travel, to this her body's grace,
and lost in waves.
For the path he took was not how she envisioned
its ending. Their pendulum on a string.

She never peacefully passes on, though he does fairly quickly,
for she let him; without a care;
his victory, her despair.
And quietly walking she leaves, the grave site still in view,
and time will quake.
For even if she holds her head still high, her death
she will not strive. Whereas he, was never really alive.

His strength he imposed, left marks on her
head and heart. In vain;'
his gain, her pain.
And the lesser she'd open her eyes, the faster time passes,
and over its been.
For now she lets herself go, keeping herself closed
unto life. The insincerity clung to her strife.

If I sung you to sleep,
what would you dream?
of mystery and madness?
of love and revenge?
of spiralling staircases, culminating
swiftly in a pool
of swirling fear?

Starfish –
sleep slowly,
sleep soundly.
Stretch bubbly limbs that
are kissed by the shore,
hugged by the sea.

This cove
of creeping creatures,
they slip and slime
like a plastic bag
of goldfish.

What will you dream?
of memories:
when you were swept
away from the sea
to dry on the sand
like a limpet?

Bubbling, giggling,
blobbing starfish:
sleeping, sliding,
slipping out of place,
slipping out
of starfish dreams.

You can only question,
The methods above,
When they take the soul,
Of someone you love,

When criminal's live,
To repeat each breath,
Spreading all fear,
Avoiding death,

We mourn the past,
Robbed of our time,
A happy future,
Tortured by crime,

We pray in vain,
To bring them back,
Your silent response,
The comfort you lack,

Grief eats me alive,
As anger resides,
Vengeance is real,
Life for a life,

No remorse,
For my actions taken,
A son of no cross,
Forever forsaken.
Unearthly longing puts a spell on me
prophetic and poetic words empty my mouth
you've done it again,
dashed and crashed my need of you in one move.
A marriage invitation. Ours?
No, yours and hers.
You'd promised that I was yours
you were mine.
But, you found deeper water to play in,
cream vellum invite
inviting me, the one that you'd ****** for fun
to be an honoured guest at your celebration.
My celebration also, alas for you.
Such beautiful flowers coo the guests
I smile, I've seen these flowers before
at my door.
They'd announce your intentions
frenetic, athletic, kinetic ***
was to ensue.
Hushed ahhhhhs as the bride to be
Stepped out
bridal colours of a ******
shame about the groom.
Numb I watch her walk to you
I know every inch of you
I know that secret quirky part of you
that perversely makes you gentler.
Will she find it?
She's at the altar, I start to feel frenetic
this is wrong I should be her
you caressed me first
you kissed me first
You were my first.
Wait, the vicar is asking for objections
You both turn, look out at us the congregation
I lock eyes with you
I look perky, your mask falters
It's all over bar the screams
You see dear I do object to being an object
who looks for a concealed pocket sized Beretta
at a wedding?
That red stain will be ****** to get out.
