Can water know
when it flows and drips like rain
through the palm of your hand
does it understand
and feel for the drops that remain
to linger
on your freezing fingers

Street cleaners gather beneath crisp tree leaves,
Collecting cloudy tears along the hem of their hoods,
Their oversized coats reminding me of the night
we shared a bench within the downpour of the city,
You demanded I kept my hood down,
Allowing raindrops to trickle atop the bridge of my nose
As your fingers traced the cherry red tips of my ears,
I spent many minutes contemplating how
I would explain my state to my mother,
Settling on the notion to flee to my room the moment I returned,
Soon enough sense turned hazy,
Your violet lips nicked my own,
In a sickly speed.

the taste of coffee liquor
mixed with the scent of you
caramel tainted lips
and musky cream-filled notes
left without a word
constantly on the edge
of wanting
the stark contrast
with bitter nicotine
and you
deciphering

the rain washes over
our bodies anew
we are clean
not poetry. just feeling sentimental on a rainy evening
I was that dying seedling in the desert
Revived by the beautiful gift of rain
The rain was the effect of you on me
When I was in pain.

Well, times have changed.
An oasis has bloomed, no dark sky looms
But one thing still remains the same
The droplets of rain, which remind me of you.
The grey skies spread above me,
has something to tell
cool breeze that soothed behind me,
has something to follow
funny smell flies through my nose,
has something to invite
noise of frog wandering through my ears,
has something to warn
the single droplet falls from high,
had rolled down through my cheek...

rainfalls on a stranger
that drips wet from the raindrops
sound taps for the streets

I am the howling wind
I am the cold mist kissing your skin
I am leaves and branches dancing
I am swollen waves and sideways rain
I am black sky
I am the storm.

a double rainbow,
embroidered the sky
reaching its way to the shore
entangling with the foam
on the border of a land and water

i wonder why the first thought
that etches to my mind
is a hue of a ghost, standing by,
shoulder to shoulder
like the double rainbow
we share our archs

our souls bend together,
yet we're so far apart

i wonder what kind of face
you'd make, would you smile
would your eyes gleam,
would they reflect the colors
of the sky?
or swallow it all, the way your being swallowed me?

i wonder do the rainbows, alike
yearn for each other
do they wish to entwine,
do they wish to reach a shared equilbrium?

the rainbows eventually disappear
the rain droplets cease, yet the
shadow of your silhouette remains
in the corners of my mind
ohh i hope someone likes this...

Little coffee cups in the little round table
For you I will always be grateful
Rain making our little window cry
I can’t help but wonder how and why
You and me early in the morning
Thunder and noise as a warning
But always safe by your side
Watching the sun rise and hide
Coffee, rain, clouds, thunder as company
Most importantly
You and me
