Masked Marauder Aug 2015
I know it's wrong, but tonight I need it.
It's never at it's worse, some night's it's just too heavy.

Back has been tight for days, wound up like a Jack forgotten in his box.
My mind stretched to weariness and it feels much older than my heart.

   Tonight I will kick myself.
Tonight I will give myself hell.
Tonight I will get a little too rough.
All I can do will never be enough.

I can do good for months on end all the while knowing that this night always arrives.
One long night of tearing my fingernails off, trying to remind myself that I can still touch lives.

I am silver wrapped in velvet.
I am iron smothered in tar.

I am the perplexity of humankind.
I am strong, short and brutal.
I am careful, considerate and frugal.

If you think you've scratched the bottom of my barrel.
I'll line up six more.
Scratch to your hearts content.
Until your nails are broken and spent.

Don't form that concrete opinion of me yet.
I am water - Forever changing and growing.
Somewhere between the painful heart beats.
Something beautiful started flowing.

I am the bottomless chasm.

She was the river
sweeping flow, caressing
the banks of his life
a run down town
inhabitants had deserted
      one by one
citing various reasons,
sounding perfectly legitimate,
gifting him a blue gown of fog,
magical, written loneliness
in pastel colors all over it.
She was the flow
he wanted to immerse himself
bit by bit, on her he wanted
to float as debris, left over
the current that electrified him
with her surge, gave solace
with gifts from the mountain
of her origin and the planes
she visited.

"Ḧere is a word" she said
on a sad day of his,
when  sun scarcely smiled
which in retrospect he realizes
the day he was redeemed,
elevated to the planes of immortals
words surely are!
He was bathing in her
bubbly waters scented with
mountain herbs, wild orchids and
faecund earth
"Ä word that would have
all answers, spoken in silence
a word, ultimate that tells you
  who you are"
a lark sang that one word,
from the limits of her flight,
a star wrote it with it's light
under moon's watchful eyes,
wind boomed the word's high notes,
stringing it's sonorous lyre
He kept the river's word
as a treasure wrapped by his soul
he still lives in that living word
his true abode.

Our destination we knew beforehand

we did set sail to distant galaxies, that create

rainbows out of light years and star dust.

We forgot the meaning of the word 'return'

never imagined a coming back, ever

the journey of no return  every moment, was
rich

only we were there, needless to think

about the beginning or any one other than

us

we didn't bother about the moment of culmination,

the phenomenal world, after all is not ours

The question regarding the question relies on what the question really is.

If the question implied is a question directed outwardly, then it may be misinterpreted as a question to oneself internally.

Otherwise, a question explicitly directed inwardly is critical to deciphering the question that one will address outwardly.

If an indirect question is questioned through the user, then the question itself becomes a metaphysical question to choose from.

In the event a question is said through alternate means, consider the quantitative/qualitative state of the question at the time being; as it may be resolved by asking the question in a subconscious level indeed.

Superficial means tends to seek fundamental questions to the reality of the state one naturally possesses.

In the case where the unconscious decides the opportune event to question the conscious reality, one must interpret the means in examination of the intrapersonal mentality.

If the question is imposed through correlative thought and subliminal expression, then the question itself is related to a parallel conscious state intertwined with the unconscious state of mind of progression.

If the question is relative in combination to the solutions mentioned above becoming apparent, then one has means to ask the question without questioning the question itself in disparate.

Otherwise, the question continues to perplex the question through the continuation of irrelevant questions that one will have thought; creating a treacherous belief so concurrent one could not have fought.

Therefore, is the reality of the question portrayed to the reality you live in or the reality of others? As this poem was conclusive to subtly evoke thought in the questions we construct.

The thought of the question was introduced to me whilst reading Carl Jung's book, Man and his Symbols.
